This afternoon, hundreds upon thousands of Irish citizens young and old took to the streets of Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Donegal in the spirit of solidarity with Argentina against the efforts of the western powers within the guilded halls of the Global Assembly to violate and trample with impunity the territorial integrity of the Argentine Republic.
Several Irish citizens displayed the flags of Brazil and Argentina in their shops, homes, and automobiles.
Demonstrations have for the most part taken a rather peace character under the supervision of the Garda Síochána which has been tasked with securing the routes of demonstrators in the face of minor counterdemonstrations whose ranks were largely sympathetic to France.
Some have petitioned parliament to discontinue the provision of Irish funding for the GA.
