Official Statement
The Irish Government is disturbed by recent developments concerning the conflict between France and Argentina stemming from a violation of Argentine airspace on the part of France. In light of this, The Irish Government would like to remind the two parties of its neutrality upon the world stage and the willingness on the part of the people of Ireland to avoid foreign wars on the other side of the world.
Military Vessels and Aircrafts of the belligerents involved shall not be permitted entry into Irish territorial waters or airspace on the grounds that such permission in favour of one party or another could be seen as an endorsement of one's aggression.
Irish Merchant Vessels traversing the South Atlantic are advised to paint in bold white letters ÈIRE in order to avoid any such violations of neutrality.
