Deputy Chris Georgeson pulled outside of a house on Lee Lake Drive. The Sheriff's Office had received a call from the mail man that the owner of the house, a Ms. Trueman, hadn't been collecting her mail in around two weeks, and he had asked neighbours whether she was on vacation or away, to which the answer was no, she had came back from vacation the week before she stopped collecting her mail. The Deputy approached the door of her house and banged on it with a closed fist three time, "Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, anyone home?". Silence. Another three bangs from a closed fist, "Ms. Trueman, Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, can you come to the door please?". Once again, silence. The Deputy placed his hand on the handle of the door, before speaking once more. "Ms. Trueman, I'm going to let myself in now".
The door creaked as the Deputy opened it, he'd instantly be hit with a foul smell. Nothing he'd ever smelled before. He'd cover his mouth and gag, stepping back from the door. "Fuck.." he exclaims. He looked back through the door, his hand still over his mouth and nose. The house was dark, as if no electrics were on at all. Removing his flash light from his duty belt, he turns it to face the hallway infront of him as the light flickers on, illuminating his way. He steps into the hallway, noting flies and the smell getting instantly stronger. Turning his head into the front room as he slowly passes, nothing. Before moving onto the end of the hallway and stepping into the kitchen - again, nothing.
The deputy turns on his heels, to head back down the hallway towards the stairs. Turning onto the stairs, the stench would be getting stronger and stronger. There was two rooms and a bathroom upstairs, all had their doors open. As he gets to the landing, he realises he doesn't need to check the rooms as right infront of him is Ms. Trueman, dead. Lying down on her bed, he face bloodied, but not bashed. The blood coming from the nose, eyes and ears. The Deputy retreats down the stairs and straight out the front door, taking a deep breath - thankful to be away from the smell. Walking up to his car, he picks up the mic for his radio. "Dispatch, Officer 1701. Roll an ambulance to Lee Lake Drive. One DOA"
"Roger that, cause of death?"
"I'm not sure. Smell was too bad to get close. I saw bleeding from the eyes, ears and nose."
"Roger that 1701. Ambulance en-route"
However, due to the symptoms similar to those reported from the Outbreak in Madagascar, this information would be relayed up the change of command, first to the courthouse in Fredericksburg, who in turn would speak to doctors, the information would then, after alot of processing, be passed onto the Governor of Virginia. Luckily enough, the order came down from the heads as the Ambulance was arriving, for no one to enter the house and all those who have came in contact with the deceased need to be quarantined...

Time: 1000hours, two days later
By now, the whole of Lee Lake Drive was now under quarantine. The first unit to respond was HM101 from Arlington, due to being the closest HazMat unit. However, now it was buzzing with people. Deputy Georgeson had been taken away and was now in quarantine in Mary Washington Hospital. Disaster Medical Assistance Teams from the Federal Emergency Management Agency were on the street, with tents and Advanced life support ambulances. Local fire departments were also on station along with investigative agents from the FBI. The clean up and investigation was starting, a local alert would be played on local news stations stating that anyone who had been in contact with Ms. Trueman within the last four weeks was to report to Mary Washington Hospital. News vans began to arrive from around the country..
