Dear Whom it May Concern, At this present time we exceed your maximum allowance for diplomatic, mission and security staff at our embassies. May I reiterate that our diplomatic and mission staff are unarmed and all our security staff are contracted by security companies in your nation. Due to Australia's proximity to Asia and our need for a close working relationship with Asia, we deem it necessary that our embassies in this region be slight larger then average. For that reason we are asking to have 200 diplomatic and mission staff in our sizeable Embassy in Seoul and 50 diplomatic and mission staff in a Consulate-General in Busan. Dear Dr Dr. Carmen Lawrence (Owen),

First please let me apologise for not getting round to this sooner. After long discussion with my peers within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have decided to accept your request for having 200 diplomatic and mission staff within Seoul and a further 50 in the Consulate in Busan. I have also attached further notes that will be useful for your office.

▢ All security personnel MUST be unarmed. Use of any firearms are not prohibited unless previously agreed upon.
▢ Each embassy may have up to the following personnel and staff; 5 Diplomatic Staff, 25 Mission Staff and 10 Security Personnel. Anything more than the stated list must be agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
▢ All buildings housing Diplomatic, Mission and Security personnel are subject to Republic of Korea (South) laws. All buildings also belong to the Republic of Korea (South) unless otherwise agreed upon.
