"Dear CEO of Ziron Insurance,
I'm from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, apart of the Australian Government's Department of Infrastructure and Transport. We regulate all air traffic in Australian airspace and also regulate flights to and from Australia. As apart of our regulations for International Airlines there is a level of insurance which is required to be held by the airlines. We have a law which states there must be strict Carrier's Liability Insurance which is in accordance with the regulatory framework to ensure compensation will be paid in respect of death or personal injury suffered by passengers on aircraft. We also have a law requiring some level of Third Party Liability Insurance for compensating third parties on the ground suffering death, injury or damage from aircraft within our jurisdiction along with war risk insurance and cargo and baggage liability. For the last 3 insurance requirements, it is a commercial decision of airlines to decide what level of insurance cover should be held and we will assess whether it's appropriate. For Carrier's Liability Insurance it has to be in accordance with the strict compliance. We're offering you an opportunity to grow your business by offering your organisation to be the main provider of our Carrier's Liability Insurance along with creating a range of Third Party Liability, War Risk and Cargo and Baggage Liability insurance policies for airlines wishing to operate into Australia.
Sincerely,
Shane Carmody,
Director-General of Aviation Safety."
