After the officially establishment of the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration, the government of the People's Republic has passed a bill to fund an expedition to Antarctica. Using the newly commissioned Yanbing-class Icebreaker, crewed by ninety-five people and a AS350 Écureuil helicopter on its deck, the CAAA has begun preparing its expedition. Their destination would be the Larsemann Hills in the Prydz Bay, Eastern Antarctica. Once on land, a makeshift camp would be built as construction would begin on the Antarctic Zhongshan Station. The icebreaker would be stocked with enough food and supplies for the crew to survive three months time, along with camping supplies for a temporary camp, and everything that they would need to survive in the Antarctic and its severe winters.

The expedition team had now been sailing for days; from their port in Xiamen, through the South China and Java Seas, and finally through the Indian Ocean to their desired location inside Prydz Bay, not far from the shore. Once there, some of the crew would board the AS350 Écureuil helicopter where they would fly a short minute where they would then land on a snow-free area of the shore (-69.371465, 76.368137).

The helicopter crew would scout the surrounding area to determine whether or not this would be a suitable location to form not only a temporary base but also a permanent scientific station to study Antarctica. After roughly three hours, it was determined that it was and the crew on the ship were notified to come over and begin setting up camp.

They would use the four lifeboats, carrying all of their equipment and the necessary equipment for their temporary camp. Once on the shore they would begin work immediately and within two hours all the tents, outhouses, and communication equipment would have been set up. The Temporary Zhongshan Station would be in working condition. The crew would then contact Chinese headquarters to ready a LC-130 Hercules with all necessary equipment so that they may begin the construction of the full Zhongshan Station.

The LC-130 Hercules would arrive with the supplies to begin the Zhongshan Station. It would land not far south of the site, in the snow, assuring that the landing area was safe for touch down. Once it had made its safe landing, those stationed at the site would use snowmobiles and ATVs to make their way to the LC-130 where they would then begin dragging the material and equipment back to the site with sized trailers.

Once all the material and equipment was delivered to the site, the LC-130 Hercules would depart and head back to China. It would begin to make journeys back and forth with more material and equipment, including necessary engineering vehicles, up until all of it was delivered and Zhongshan Station was fully constructed and operation.
