President Thomas van Vreeswijk would have European Economic Committee Chairman Mark Jackson summoned to his office for discussions relating to the European Treaty Organisations economic future. The meeting would be private and not open to the press.

The British European Economic Committee Chairman, Mark Jackson, cleared his schedule to attend the meeting. Arriving in a short period of time and closing the door behind him, acknowledging the privacy of the room. "Good Afternoon, How are you?" he asked casually, moving to take a seat as the pair were ready to discuss the European Treaty Organisation. Patiently waiting for the President to respond.

"Good Afternoon," van Vreeswijk would politely reply. "I am doing well, how about you," he calmly replied from behind his desk, he gestured the Brit to take a seat opposite him.

"I asked you here to discuss the economic aspect of the ETO, having laid the political and judicial foundation through the European Parliament and the European Court of Peace & Justice, it is time to expand upon the Economic Committee. The organisation was set up to primarily be a economic alliance, yet that is what we lack at this time."

"Since you have been tasked to lead this committee I would like to hear you plans on how the European Treaty Organisation will become the economic alliance it was meant to be."

"I am doing well, thank you." he smiled, sliding down into the seat and putting some notes on the desk for his own viewing. "Yes, not a problem. The plans for the growth of the European Treaty Organisation laid on the prospect of countries such as Malta joining the group. With Britain and the Netherlands already involved, and actually trading outside of ETO. We become more reliant on having new parties within the group to explore more trade and economic impact for Britain, the Netherlands and the other countries involved. With the collapse of the Maltese Government, we ought to look to new opportunities for members in Europe to join the cause. We're seeing new governments rise in Germany, France remains active along with Italy. A new Cyprus Government has entered office. There are many new 'players' in Europe, but we feel the need to approach. I'd like to know if you have anyone else in mind to join given Malta's interest... unfortunately collapsed."

"I have multiple plans in place to contact potential member states such as France, Norway and Belgium. With possible contact with Cyprus and Croatia once their governments have settled in. However, I would like to offer them more incentives to joining this organisation, especially economically, which is why I called you. So with a list of five nations which I will be contacting soon I would like to have our economic committee developed and operational."

"So I would like to hear your thoughts on how we can improve the committee, loan requests and infrastructure subsidies. However I would also like to discuss the possibility of an ETO Fair-Trade Agreement, which would mean that all national agreements will become void and that the ETO will manage all trade agreements, then a nation that joins would get the benefit of all ETO FTA's in place. It might attract newer administrations to join the organisation."

"It would be nice to see those countries with newer governments have the interest and opportunity to enter the organisation. Loan requests are something I do think would help, however, we would need to consider interest as right now, globally, First Choice International is the largest loan provider and the most reputable. Having loans in ETO would need to be competitive with First Choice's own rates otherwise their wouldn't be an appeal to our own members. In regards to Fair Trade Agreement, I presume that includes the Free Trade aspect of no VAT/Taxes on goods traded within the organisation? Furthermore, just to establish. If a country is trading with the Netherlands, that means the goods you recieve is distributed amongst ETO members? Or, if you sold goods in the Netherlands, ETO members get a share in the money earned?"

"Regarding loans, we could offer exclusive loans, only for members of the ETO at a significantly lower interest rate. As it is all in our benefit to have European nations continuously funded to improve their nation. However, these loans should not be used for the acquirement of military equipment."

"Regarding the trade agreement, my thought is to create a European Free Trade Zone, where barriers are nonexistent between member states. This would however mean that all trade agreements between member states and non-members have to be equal, which is why I am petitioning this ETO-wide trade agreement. To keep this simple it would mean that all agreements currently in force would become void, while we re-implement this new European agreement with nations around the world. VAT will still be in force as that is a decision made by national government. However all trade tariffs set with non-member states will need to be equal between each ETO member, therefore can only be implemented by the European Economic Committee. There will be no forced distribution of goods or profits. We'll simply be leveling the playing field between each nation part of the organisation to ensure there is no preferential treatment."

"That could work, and I agree, the last thing the European Treaty Organisation to become is a forum for the solicitation of military goods. This Economic Union needs to be better than that, and focus on positive, innocent trade and expansion. Straying away from anything that could cause harm to Europe or any other continent for that matter. As for Free Trade, I understand your point but the voiding of existing agreements could make the transition more bumpy. We would need to re-write preexisting ones before we just void them. To ensure it's a smooth change over. But this also covers mutual benefit, because if ETO decides to agree to an FTA with another country that has no VAT, then they're saving money whilst we don't. Is there any suggestions to prevent this occurring?"
