KINGDOM OF NORWAY
OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
SUBJECT: Re: Congratulations
RECIPIENT: Thomas van Vreeswijk, President of The European Treaty Organization
SECURITY: ENCRYPTED

President Van Vreeswijk,

Thank you for your kind words. I am presently free and would be happy to visit The Hague to discuss the European Treaty Organization with you. I will depart tomorrow morning, my office will send over the exact details.

Best Regards,

Leif Holt
Prime Minister of Norway

The official details of when the Prime Minister would depart Norway for The Hague were sent to the President's office in a secure way. Mister Holt departed from Norway at eight in the morning and arrived at Den Haag not much later. Travelling with him were a few staff members from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ten special agents from Kripos who were dressed in black suits and had their sidearms.

President Thomas van Vreeswijk would send a request to the Dutch Ministry of Defence to provide an escort to Prime Minister Leif Holt from Rotterdam The Hague Airport to the 'Heart of Europe' the European Treaty Organisation's Headquarters.

With the 1 BSB Peleton of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee currently preoccupied with security for the Brazilian President, a detachment of the Koningsgarde would be deployed to escort the Norwegian Prime Minister. After landing at Rotterdam The Hague Airport Prime Minister Holt and his entourage would be fast tracked through passport control and customs, as per procedure the sidearms of the Norwegian security detail would be registered and checked to ensure they had not previously been used in a crime. After passing security the delegation would be escorted to the ETO headquarters where he was led into the Office of the President.

President van Vreeswijk would rise and have a warm smile on his face as he greeted the Norwegian, "Prime Minister, I am grateful you could make it here so quickly."

The special agents begrudgingly showed off their weapons and cereal numbers to the Dutch. Holt and his entourage made it to ETO headquarters where the Prime Minister greeted President van Vreeswijk with a friendly smile and firm handshake. "Of course, Mister President. It's nice to see you again. Please, let's get somewhere private and talk."

Once they were seated somewhere more private, Holt would request a cup of coffee. "So, Mister President, what exactly do you want to discuss about the ETO? Is there a new member joining?" Holt aggressively drank his coffee - it seemed like the man was addicted to the stuff.

The meeting between the Norwegian Prime Minister and the President of the European Treaty Organisation would be held privately in the office of President Thomas van Vreeswijk. "No, while I did invite you here to talk about the future of the European Treaty Organisation, it is not about the addition of a new member."

"Rather it is about the evolution of the organisation. When I took the Office of the President, I knew I would have a difficult task in ensuring it would become an organisation worthwhile of joining. Where the benefits would out-way the loss of sovereignty over certain sections of governance. However, now I face the problem of efficiency, the European Treaty Organisation at its core is not made for a large membership base. Parliamentary sessions take too long, and at this time we lack the proper legislation in regards to what the European Treaty Organisation is supposed to be."

"So, I invited you here today to because I value your opinion as our latest and maybe most critical member. I would like to discuss the evolution of the European Treaty Organisation with you, would you be willing to help me in that capacity"

The Prime Minister felt his heart skip a beat. "Oh... The sound of reforms is a bit of a surprise to me, but I'd be happy to help you. In exactly what ways are you considering evolving the ETO? I'm sure you're aware that my party originally had reservations about the ETO, and can still be sometimes skeptical, so hopefully I can be a bit of a balance. Please, tell me your plans, Mister President."
