Protestors bring Paris to a standstill in pro-European demonstrations
Protests have been held across Paris after President Marine Le Pen announced that France was no longer joining the proposed European Union after pulling out of talks chaired by the Kingdom of Norway. The French capital was expected to bear the brunt of the protests with the government announcing that 3,500 police officers had been deployed across the capital to observe and maintain order with severe disruption expected across the cities transport network and schools across the city had been ordered to shut to minimise disruption. The opposition Renaissance party has called for the President to resign stating that she will lead France on a downward spiral because she is anti-European and anti-EU, meanwhile she acknowledges that she is anti-EU due to the current flaws shown in the early stages of the organisations founding session. The President is expected to issue a statement in the coming hours to address concerns held by the French people.
