The Secretary General wrote a private electronic message to the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom. He asked that, because of the recent terrorist attack in New York City and the mention of the GA from the terrorists in Russia, that security at the General Assembly and its properties in England be temporarily doubled.
