With Orders being released by the Bundesministerium der Verteidigung (Federal Ministry of Defence), all forces that were to be deployed was placed on stand-by to be deployed within the 24-48hours, all equipment which was to be sent over to Kosovo would be brought up to the respect Airbases and loaded onto the C-160s. The German Commanders knew it would take a few trips to have all the forces and equipment placed within Kosovo. With the Canadian Administration already operating within Kosovo, an urgent encrypted message was sent to the Canadian Forces to see if the German Forces would be able to deploy to Gjakova Airport located within Kosovo itself. Kosovo militants were also issued a message privately and encrypted stating that the German Forces were to deploy to evacuate any and all German citizens within Kosovo as well as help fly out any Kosovo civilians wishing to move to the Federal Republic of Germany. |
