Dr. Alexander Gauland of AfD would take his seat as other members of the Bundestag took their seats; while not all members were present, around 400-450 of the Bundestag's members would show up to the . At From 9:00 to 7:00, Central European Time, the proceedings were to be broadcast live via the German Press Agency & its many outlets. The 3 major debates to be shown on YouTube would be the Conscription Bill & the Border Control Bill, with transcripts being available on the Bundestag's website.

"Good morning ladies & gentlemen," President Norbert Lambert would state to his colleagues as they prepared their debates, both among the Presidium & the MPs.
"I hope that today finds you all in good spirits. This sitting of the Bundestag has been called by the Federal Chancellery on issues that are pressing to the country. Our agenda shall be as follows for today: debate between Dr. Alexander Gauland of Alternative for Deutschland & Federal Defense Minister Thomas de Maizière on a Bill for the Bundeswehr, which shall be concluded by a brief post-debate question period & vote. Afterwards, another debate from Dr. Alexander Gauland on the Border Control Bill, then a Free Trade proposal from Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle between Germany & the Netherlands. A brief intermission period will follow for lunch, & afterwards, a final statement from Bundeskanzler Angela Merkel on previous governments and how to properly move forwards." Brief applause would follow before the President continued.
"Now, it should not have to be stated, but remember to keep to proper parliamentary procedure. This is not like the United States Congress, where there is barely a procedure to speak of and men just yell over each other. We are here to have civil discourse, not to argue like petulant children. If you are caught breaking parliamentary procedure, you will first be given a reminder of your breach of conduct, and if the breaches of conduct persist, you will not be permitted to speak or participate in debate or voting. If you attempt to, you will be escorted from the floor." The President of the Bundestag would look to the crowd as they would applaud him quickly. He would then take a look at the agenda paper and call up Dr. Gauland & Thomas de Maizière for their debate on the Bundeswehr, and what was needed to be done in order to bring it back to a proper military standard.

Remember, this session is open to everyone, but be certain to talk with me if you have questions to propose during the proceedings as allowed within the confines of Bundestag procedure.

After standing to the podium, Dr. Gauland would start off the debate.
"Mister President, Ladies & Gentlemen, my fellow colleagues; the Bundeswehr is in bad shape. Our officer structure is redundant and dated, our military improperly trained for a high–intensity conflict, and our military structure in shambles. To state that the Bundeswehr is not in a historically bad position is an attempt of denial and being alright with the status quo. For the last decade, conscription has been placed on hold due to Germany "being in peace." I ask you all here today where that peace was? For a decade, the Republic has undergone several government changes that have affected the Bundeswehr to the point of an ineffective, laughable militia rather than a proper army; these changes to government have adversely affected our ability to defend the Republic, as well as ensure global stability. I feel it is prudent that we, as a nation, consider how we have treated our military — our force for defending against those who would do us harm — and improve it before we end up the puppet of any other nation." Applause would follow Gauland's statement on the Bundeswehr's effectiveness, and what should be done.
"For a first step in improvement, I feel that it should be a necessity to reintroduce Conscription for Army Services, and to fund new changes to the Bundeswehr's structure in order to make it a truly–effective combat force. Conscription for army or alternative services made certain that German citizens were being productive members of society, and teaching our citizens in how to defend ourselves. Since putting conscription abeyance, the German people have grown complacent, and ultimately unable to properly integrate with society. We see it now with our youth, whose usefulness to society has been stifled by voluntary inactivity. In order to secure the future of Germany, and ensure that —"
"A member wishes to make a statement or question in the moment, will the speaker allow it?" President Lambert asked Gauland, interrupting him. The doctor would immediately nod and make the gesture to a member of the SPD who was at one of the microphone stands overlooking the floor.
"By that very statement, you assume that the German youth are all useless to society. Since Angela Merkel came back into power, unemployment rates have been at an all–time low." the member would state. Dr. Gauland would clear his throat in preparation of a denial.
"Wrong Herr Shröder. I never stated that the German youth were useless, and I do not doubt Frau Merkel's contributions, but her inactive stance on an effective government for Germany, let alone an efficient military, has led to a decline where it matters. Now, in order to secure the German future, it is prudent that we allow our military to improve and reform itself. Instead of a Bundeswehr, we should have a Streitkräfte!" Applause would follow soon thereafter as Dr. Gauland took a sip, prepared to continue, but waiting for any more speakers in the moment before he would continue.

With no statements having been made within about a minute, Dr. Gauland would continue to the conclusion of his end of the debate.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Bundeswehr has suffered enough neglect for once in the life of the Republic. It needs a revival, and the first steps that are needed to take a step in the right direction are a regular influx of new troops that, in time, could be fit to become officers to fill in the massive vacancies of non-commissioned & commissioned officers, and increasing the funding to the Bundeswehr by more than small increments of 5 or 10 percent, and only such a step can be taken if we make sweeping, large–scale investments into the longevity of our military." Applause would follow Dr. Gauland's conclusion as the AfD party member took his seat. The Bundestag President would then clear his throat and read from the agenda the next speaker.

"The next speaker is Thomas de Maizière, Federal Minister of Defense, debating Dr. Alexander Gauland on the Bundeswehr Bill." Thomas would inevitably step up to the primary microphone.

"Mr. President, fellow representatives of Germany. While AfD's proposed bill seeks to increase funding to the military through long–term measures, I ask what good will come of this? His suggestions to increase funding to the Bundeswehr and to reinstate conscription are rather antiquated and very broad, generalizing solutions to problems that require far more direct solutions that are, in some places, out of our control. In order to solve the issues present with the Bundeswehr, there must be a large-scale reformation of the Bundeswehr that would require far more time and resources than the Federal Republic currently has at its disposal. Yes, I see the issues Dr. Gauland. Yes, I can see the Bundeswehr for its flaws, but at the same time, I believe that it is currently fine for dealing in the conflicts that Germany mainly fights in the 21st Century. We aren't the Reich, where a strong military for high–intensity conflict was needed. That age has passed us, and we are now in an age where our forces are mainly supplementary. We have the ISAF for the defense of democracy. All our army must do is remain adequate in its ability to act and its ability to fight a defensive conflict." Applause would follow as the Defense Minister would wait for a moment in the hopes that someone, perhaps Dr. Gauland or the independent Walter Storz, would challenge his claims. While Dr. Gauland looked like he was ready to return fire, he held himself back in order to let other members potentially talk.

After hearing the statements of both Dr. Gauland and Federal Minister of Defense Thomas de Maiziere, non-inscrit member Walter Storz would stand on the podium and speak.

"Sorry to say this to Federal Defense Minister Thomas de Maiziere. I usually hear that same tone of your statement from Animal Welfare organization or from non-profit organization supporting Vegetarianism. I did not expect to hear that statement from the Defense Minister himself. Dr. Gauland and Defense Minister de Maiziere should swap roles as Dr. Gauland understands the defense matters more than our "nice and friendly" gentlemen over there (gestures his hand to Thomas de Maiziere).

It is true that as our honorable President Lambert said we did have relatively low unemployment rate, which is obviously a good thing as it is a sign that our youth is not useless and unproductive. However, I don't think the current government nor the nation itself has a solid INDEPENDENT national defense policy. National defense, whether you agree with me or not, must be the #1 priority. Just look at the many democratic countries, you will notice that National Defense is the "Section 1" or "Article 1" on their constitutions. Hence, I agree with bringing back mandatory conscription although it doesn't have to be limited to conscription for the Bundeswehr but should include conscription for the Bundespolizei and the Kustenwache; with priority to Bundeswehr. Besides, I hate to see that the next generation is becoming too soft and too relaxed and comfortable dwindling their fingers on touchscreens and computer buttons (he doesn't exactly the term for a gaming console pad), and too carefree - dressed up like trendy abominations called Justin Bieber and Kanye West.

As for military funds, statistics says that most country spends at least 2.4% of their GDP for defense which is roughly 10% to 15% of the annual government budget appropriation. Hence, I agree with at least investing 10% for Defense - that includes salaries, maintenance of existing bases and assets, manpower development, doctrines development, pensions, benefits, and administrative expense. Of course it excludes modernization expenses and future defense procurements.

Make no mistake, I still recognize the need for defense allies. Indeed, the Global Assembly Security Council and the ISAF is there. But we should not be complacent and overly comfortable with the peace we are enjoying today. In contrary, for one country to become a good defense ally it must have a credible and effective capability to fend for itself as well as assist your allies in times of military needs. Afterall, alliances are give-and-take.

After the statement from Walter Storz was made, the Bundestag would applaud as the Defense Minister would continue on with his debate.
"The point is not that I don't want to solve the issues with our national defense, but the problems are so large in scale that it would require far more than our current budget would allow. This has been the case for years, and the challenges associated with previous attempts at reviving the Bundeswehr as a proper military entity have just proven to be too great for the Federal Republic. It would make no sense to attempt a full revival of our national defense when our economy is less than substantial enough to even take up the needs of equipment and commissioned officers. When I say that we only truly need to focus on our defense and do an adequate job of it, this shows that our military is substantial enough. We do not need a military on par with that of Russia, the United States, or even Vietnam. All we need is to ensure our lasting defense." As Walter Storz spoke, a member of the SPD would stand to one of the podiums.

"A member of the SPD wishes to intervene, will you allow it?"
"No, no more interventions," Thomas would state, the member of SPD sitting back down with a grumble. "This is a democratic nation that can get its defense from its allies. We have no need to have a military that can globally intervene, nor do we have need for a military body that can claim itself to be one of the most well–trained, well–organized, and well–maintained." At this statement, many members in the Bundestag, primarily from SPD and AfD, began to yell accusations of betrayal of the German people & nation. These remarks would result in a call to order from the President of the Bundestag and his deputies. Here, even in the midst of veterans of parliamentary debate, the statements made by Defense Minister Thomas de Maizière showed the incompetence and distance that members of the CDU/CSU had with their constituents, and furthermore, their nation.

"I will not back down from my stances on the Bundeswehr. Yes, it needs help. Yes, it needs revival, but simply reinstating conscription and increasing its funding will only exasperate the problems that our country faces, and put our people further in–debt, and we simply do not have the proper economy for such a revival," he would conclude, resulting in a share of both applause and discontent among members of the Bundestag. Alexander Gauland watched on smugly, knowing that CDU/CSU's dominance in the parliament was unraveling. After the Federal Defense Minister would take his seat alongside Chancellor Merkel, the President would clear his throat.

"With both sides of the debate presented, we may now put the bill to a vote. Those who are in favor of Dr. Gauland's draft for the Bill for the Reintroduction & Reformation of Mandatory Military Service & Alternative Civilian Services, & an Increase in Funding to the Defense Ministry and the Budget of the Bundeswehr, please take a stand."

Walter Storz would stand in support of Dr. Gauland's draft. He would also advise Chancellor Merkel to replace the current Federal Defense Minister with a more capable and proactive one.

After voting had been finished on the bill draft, there was a tie between yes and no votes, thanks to an abstention on part of a few key voters. The bill would need to undergo a second vote to break the tie.

The Bundeswehr Bill, even after a recount, would see only death on the plenary floor. Due to another tie between the parties, President Lambert would move onto the next item on the agenda, announcing that the bill had ended in a tie, and would remain on the plenary floor. Dr. Gauland, halfway tempted to leave, took small sips from his water glass, handed to him by one of the attendants.

"The next speaker will be Dr. Alexander Gauland, once again speaking for AfD." The plenary chamber would remain silent, with only a few members from AfD applauding as he stood back up to the podium. Dr. Gauland would clear his throat as he prepared on his speech regarding immigration. As he did, he carefully watched as Chancellor Merkel stood up to leave the plenary floor in protest against Dr. Gauland's criticisms of her bills.

"Mr. President, my esteemed colleagues, the AfD's proposal aims to stop illegal border crossings by issuing a reassurance of border control which will deny entry to unauthorized persons. Anyone who argues against this proposal therefore wants people to be able to enter Germany illegally, apply for refuge, receive permanent social welfare, and initiate claims that go on for years." The members of the Bundestag would applaud Gauland as he continued to speak.

"As the judges of the Supreme Court have remarked, nobody can use asylum as a valid reason to enter Germany by land. Anybody arriving from a third country — and all of Germany's neighbors are — is to be denied entry. As are those whose asylum request is the responsibility of another country. What we are dealing with here is internal migration, and we must protect our national borders. Instead of doing this, we are decorating our Christmas Markets with bollards & machineguns."

Dr. Gauland would continue after the applause that greeted his last statement, seeing as no one had bothered to attempt to interrupt him thus far.

"To deflect our attention, they start moaning about the people smugglers. But, if the smuggler is breaking the law, so is the person who pays him. The Reign of the Unlawful, Herr Interior Minister, must be brought to an end. Instead, you have just re–coronated the person responsible for all of this." Applause would follow this statement as he continued forwards, taking a sip of water as he did.

"Lack of safety in your homeland does not entitle you to the world at will. From a state like Turkey, you cannot go and 'seek refuge' in Europe. Neither can you do this from an entire continent like Africa. Taking in asylum seekers, who make holiday trips back to see their families, is not an act of humanity. For the amount of money it takes to look after people here, we could be assisting more people on–site; the poorest do not travel. That's pretty hypocritical of a party that calls itself 'Christian'." Applause would follow again as Gauland's speech continued. His debate was striking a nerve with people, making them remember that this is their country, not anyone else's.

"For supporters of open borders, this is about remodeling the native population through every makeup of immigration, and how this will affect this make–up of the electorate. The Resettlement Plan, where Frau Merkel plans to resettle all disgruntled citizens of the Middle East to Europe, de–facto to Germany, has written this plan as an official policy of the CDU/CSU, and not simply a policy for the time. This explains the toleration with massive identity fraud through discarded & falsified passports. This explains why the term 'refugee' is deliberately being misapplied to economic migrants. 'Refugee' is only valid when you cross the border of the country you are fleeing, and seek to establish a temporary residence in a state that you know will protect your rights." Applause would follow again as Dr. Gauland paused for a second, waiting for someone to perhaps speak or comment on his statements.

Walter Storz would just make a brief statement:

"To do what is morally right also comes hand-in-hand to the question of whether we actually have the capacity to do it. To put it in a simple analogy, a good Samaritan can be generous enough to foster homeless children in his house. But if that Samaritan only lives in a 5m x 5m studio apartment and barely make enough income to feed himself; how can he possibly feed his child refugees and provide them with a quality life?"

I agree with Dr. Gauland. Enforce strict border control. Germany should not explicitly say to the world that it closes it's door to refugees and asylum seekers. But just make the door opening as narrow as possible."

Despite the applause, President Lambert would turn to Walter Storz and clear his throat before Gauland could continue.
"I call you to order Herr Storz. As you should know, you must first come up to one of the microphone podiums along the plenary floor, and wait until the speaker accepts your intervention. This is your first warning. You may continue Dr. Gauland."

"Thank you. Now, this explains why the impossibility of relocation is being glossed over, when integrating people 'not fit for work' is costing over 50 billion German Marks in misappropriated funds. That is theft from the German people, and that is destroying our homeland!" The crowd would applaud that point louder than other points, as it certainly hit a chord.

"The welcoming culture is, according to Heinrich August Winkler, 'caused by the self–satisfaction of German narcissists who fancy themselves as superior human beings.' Dissenting voices are shut down by accusations of racism & bigotry. What we need is a welcoming culture for diversity of opinion, above all, in this house." This time, a member of the Left Party would stand to one of the micrphones scattered across the plenary floor.

"Herr Gauland, will you accept a question from the floor?" Dr. Gauland would immediately nod, seeing as he wanted to hear the diversity of opinion that he had stated should be present, above all, in the German Republic. "You may proceed Frau Erlach." The woman would clear her throat to ask her question to Dr. Gauland.

"And how would it not be racist or bigoted to turn away disenfranchised asylum seekers who may not even be able to return to their country? Regardless if they are unfit to work, they are still people searching for a better life. We do not see the United States turning away such refugees, or even Canada, which is in a civil war." Dr. Gauland would clear his throat and take a sip of water before answering to the best of his ability after the applause for the Leftist member had finished.

"The difference between Germany and the United States is more or less moot. It is a different country with different immigration customs that do not and should not be affecting German foreign policy. It is not racist, or bigoted, to protect your home from unwelcome guests who're either unfit or unwilling to work and put their part in for their 'temporary' stay." Applause would follow Gauland again, especially from members of the AfD & FDP.

"Now, what is the affect of all of this? Municipalities are going due to the costs. Integration has failed due to the sheer numbers involved. The migrants themselves don't want it, they want to live in their own culture by following the unlawful rules of Sharia." Groaning & booing would follow Gauland's comment on the Islamic immigrants, in particular those who follow Sharia. The booing and groaning would mainly be from the Left and CDU/CSU, whose immigration policies called for mainly open borders.

"Every expansion of their cultural bubble only emboldens them further. Aggressive macho culture in schools, abandoned neighborhoods, rape, murder, but the government is tackling it with hard–hitting ethics courses. They have brought archaic, women–hating, violent criminals into the country. At least we are getting workers who are skilled at stabbing people. Deportations save lives! Violent foreigners, whose side Frau Merkel always takes, threaten Germans at food banks, in a land "where we can prosper and be happy," according to her party's slogan." The members of the Bundestag would applaud as Gauland waited for anyone else to potentially stake their claim with a question or statement on his statements.

With no one having made a statement, Dr. Gauland would continue on his rant of the government's inaction against immigration.

"The Berlin CDU Interior Minister says, 'Anti–German sentiment exists, rather often.' A state prosecutor says the rule of law is abandoned, a school principal says we are going back to the Middle Ages. Groped women are told, 'If you don't want this, you should wear a headscarf.' In a land where you can prosper & be happy, you are a foreigner. Had enough of this? Our carry–on–as–before government hasn't." Applause would follow Gauland's statement again, as he continued.

"They're not interested in fighting migration, only in steering it. They have already lost the peace in our land on their conscience. Is that defending the German people from harm? Does such a person belong in government? We say no; where they belong is in court!" Applause would follow Dr. Gauland's conclusion as he would return to sit back down, as the President prepared for the next speaker.

"The next speaker is Federal Foreign Affairs Minister Guido Westerwelle," President Lambert would quickly state as the federal official stepped up to the podium.

"Herr President, my fellow colleagues. Recently, discussions with the Netherlands have allowed us to reoccupy our consulates & embassy, for the betterment of our international relations. However, in my discussions, a free–trade agreement was also proposed by the Netherlands in the hopes that economic cooperation & development will better both states. While this is an unprecedented opportunity, especially considering their exports, I am leaving the Bundestag with the decision on whether or not to accept such an agreement in the next reading. I will state, however, that the Netherlands have proven to be a good ally to Germany in the modern day. Even when the 4th Reich had officially taken to fascism, the Netherlands still sought to establish good relations, and furthermore, protect both German and Dutch interests." Applause would follow Westerwelle's comments on the matter.

While the matter was short–lived, debate on the matter would continue for a few hours between members of the parliament on whether the trade agreement should be accepted or denied. Ultimately, it would go to its first committee reading and an intermission period would follow, allowing politicians to mingle with each other. The period would last no more than 1 hour.

Walter Storz would be confused about the warning given to him, given that he was not interrupting / intervening anyone as he thought the floor was open for anyone to speak at that time (From Post # 13 last paragraph "The members of the Bundestag would applaud as Gauland waited for anyone else to potentially stake their claim with a question or statement on his statements.")

Walter Storz would just remain quite, fiddle with his Stowa Antea 390 chronograph, and wait till the plenary session is over.

After about an hour of intermission, the Bundestag would reconvene after having had lunch. The President would clear his throat and prepare for the next speech.

"Good afternoon everyone. The next speaker will be Chancellor Angela Merkel of CDU." Very little applause would be heard as it was still seen that Angela Merkel was not present. She had left the Bundestag after Gauland started criticizing her points, and had decided not to return, in a passive-aggressive way to get at Gauland. The rest of the session would be used to talk about other points.
