Cc:
SubjectEmbracing Negotiation
Security Level:Private / Encrypted

Dear Chancellor Bruno von Brandenburg,

I am emailing you in regards to the current stand point between the United Kingdom and Imperial Germany as I would like the opportunity to talk with yourself, or members of your government regarding the possibility of opening negotiation between our countries. If this is something you would be happy to engage in, I am happy to either have a meeting in person or even over the phone to kick-start any talks. A few points on the agenda include, but are not limited to Trade and cooperation in other areas.

I await your reply.

Kind Regards,

Imperial Chancellery

[Secret and Classified]

To His Excellency Prime Minister Thomas Stone

I receive this idea with a warm welcome, and it would be a great honour for the first foreign dignitary to set foot on a united Germany to be the most esteemed Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Henceforth I accept your invitation and idea to open a bilateral relationship with your nation and your people. If you would accept, Germany and myself would be delighted to have you visit Berlin, on a date to be set by you, however if you wish to depart today and arrive in a few hours, this would cause no issue.

Depending on your next response, I will send you a simple agenda and schedule for the visit.

Kind Regards,

Imperial Chancellor of Imperial Germany

Bruno von Brandenburg
Office of the Imperial Chancellery

From the United Kingdom, Deputy Prime Minister Stone had departed after travelling via private vehicle to RAF Brize Norton. From there, he boarded ZK1064 "COYOTE003", a Tri-Star Aircraft, complemented by 30 soldiers in covert attire from No. 1 Squadron RAF Regiment. The presence of these security officers was told to the German Authorities, also confirming that they had concealed arms but were willing to give them up if necessary for the talks. The Aircraft successfully departed and within an hour, was coming to land at Germany by the proper methods of communication with Air Traffic Control. @Fairhold

The Agenda would be sent in a encrypted and private way to the Deputy Prime Minister Stone, it would contain the following;

  1. Arrival of the DPM Stone;
  2. Photographs with the Press at the entrance of the Imperial Chancellery
  3. Meeting with Imperial Chancellor Brandenburg - "Trade & Cooperation"
  4. Small Audience with the Kaiser of Imperial Germany
  5. Joint-Press Conference with the Chancellor
  6. End of Visit

The Comunication with the Airport would be successful, and COYOTE003 would land safely in the strip and be welcomed into a private hangar. After all the important checks with the airport security, the armed british guards would be allowed to carry concealed handguns, and would work in conjunction with the German Diplomatic Security to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

After this, a convoy would be waiting for the Prime Minister, where he would be greeted by the head of security. "Good day Prime Minister Stone, this car will take you to the Imperial Chancellery, while me and your security team will be in front and behind your vehicle. I hope you find the journey smooth."

He would wait patiently for the Deputy PM to answer while opening the car door. @Jamie

(Sorry for delay. As you know, Hollie has been in hospital)

The Agenda was received and thoroughly looked over via the Deputy Prime Minister and his security personnel to ensure they were aware of the situation and what was to be expected. The landing was smooth and followed the directions provided by Air Traffic Control into the assigned Private Hangar, whilst the security detail ensured their handguns were concealed and their own attire remains professional. Exiting the aircraft, the Deputy Prime Minister approached the Head of Security "Pleasure to be here, thank you." he concluded, whilst the security team merged with the German Diplomatic Security. Mr Stone entered the convoy, as did the security teams and waited to be escorted to the Imperial Chancellery.

The convoy would follow the quickest route towards the Imperial Chancellery, where the roads would be blocked for normal civilian traffic. Upon arrive to the courtyard, the Chancellor could be seen waiting for the British, alongside him various Guards in ceremonial attire alongside a few photographers waiting to take pictures. The Convoy would park right in front of the main entrance, and both Diplomatic teams would exit the cars. The Chief of the GDS would open the door to the British PM saying "You have arrived to your destination" gesturing to the Chancellor.

The Chancellor would walk forwards to greet the British PM. Shaking his hand. "Its a pleasure to finally meet you Prime Minister Stone, let me say it is a great honour to have you in Germany, and I hope you can feel the most at home in my nation." He would smile and give the feeling of a genuine warm welcome to the Prime Minister.

The British Deputy Minister couldn't help but smile, the Chief of the GDS reminding him of nothing but a Satnav 'You have arrived at your destination'. He shook it off before exiting the vehicle and approaching the Chancellor, extending his own hand which gave the pair a chance to smile for the photographers. "It's a pleasure to both be here and meet you in person, Chancellor" he nodded. Grateful for the warm welcome that the Germans have given him. "My first time to Germany, actually. It's more beautiful then photos give it credit for." he complimented. "How has everything been?"

"Thank you, thank you. Its beauty is only slightly surpassed by London!" He would chuckle. They would pose to the photos as they were talking. "Its been a rough start of the year, especially for the new Kaiser. Not to mention the long road we still have to trail, the reunification is still not 100% completed unfortunately. What about in Britain?" He would wait for the Prime Minister to answer.

"I'm sure you're progressing as well as you'd expect" smiled the Deputy Prrime Minister, smiling for the photos. "A new British Government means busier times than ever. The priority is directed to building relations with neighboring countries, and extending that to other continents.
These days, the uncertainty is the worry. It's hard to predict the next problem that will occur. Where shall we begin?"

"Will you be apart of the new government? I'll be truly sadden to see you go" he said as walked up to his office inside the building. Upon arriving in his office, an aid would bring to glasses of water for the two gentlemen. They would sit at either side of each other with nothing in between.

"I hope you are confortable. So would you like start?"

Slightly confused, the Deputy Prime Minister tilted his head. "I am here on behalf of the new government." he stated confused, releasing a slight chuckle. The new British Government only entered office recently which is what he was actually referring too. Making himself comfortable, he cleared his throat.

"Based on the agenda you had so kindly provided, I believe trade is the first topic. I'd like to begin by potentially setting up a trade route between our countries and essentially, sharing our goods. Is this something you'd be keen in engaging in? And if so, we have the following exports available:-

1. Machinery
2. Cars
3. Precious Metals
4. Pharmaceuticals
5. Organic Chemicals

Fortunately the distance to Germany means we could go as far as daily-trips depending on the resources you'd be interested in."

"Perhaps I was miss informed by my aides" He would chuckle. He would listen carefully to the exports.

"Hmm, my Trade Advisors and the Minister responsible for Trade did inform me that Pharmaceuticals would be one of the top priorities, so I do believe a agreement regarding the opening of a trade route for this product could be struck, that is if you would accept it of course? What would you like in return for it?"

"We'd be happy to deliver Pharmaceuticals." responded the Deputy, "In return, we'd be interested in importing Vehicles from Germany if this is an option?
Furthermore, we could delivery pharmaceuticals daily if this would work for you? We'd just need to know where these ought to be delivered too."

"Of course!, Vehicles for Pharmaceuticals, I do believe for the betterment of the people Pharmaceuticals are paramount.. more than cars. Even if companies don't agree. However this Trade Deal will surely start to cement our future relationship. Yes However would it be possible for the Vehicles to be delivered weekly? I don't think we can produce so many vehicles to send them daily. Also the Port of Hamburg would be the preferable option."

"Understood, we've made our proposed trade route to the Maritime Trade Organisation so we will hopefully see our first shipments beginning later this month. We are also happy to receive cars from yourself on a weekly basis, of course. We'll still provide daily shipments of pharmaceuticals nonetheless. It's a pleasure to enter trade with Germany.
I would hope that in the future we can actually establish more trade routes too."

"Perfect, thank you. As for the Suez, I don't think it will unless Egypt out restrictions on it and abuse their authority. They had kindly let a military vessel of ours pass to Madagascar to assist, but we are sending a carrier group to the Indian Ocean and now they have asked for a full list of equipment, vehicle classes, etc. This was an unusual shift in policy and giving them that information would only be a risk to national security. If they proceed, we'll just go the long way around, we win that way as they won't get any money either. But if they are fair with the Suez, we're happy to pay for access."
