President Hinckley;

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that His Holiness John Paul II, has been called home by his Father. In the reading of his will, he insisted that a special place be set aside for you at his Funeral. As such I am extending the invitation to you & your lovely Wife Marjorie, His holiness has set aside the Eleventh and Twelfth seat in the section reserved for Churches not in Full Communion with Rome. His Holiness was quite fond of the LDS Faith’s commitment to Family and continuing Faith Education, and had hoped he would’ve had the time to meet with you in Salt Lake and to host you here, as there is much common ground between our faiths, that is often overlooked by the world as a whole. As such encourage you fulfill His Holiness’ wish for ecumenism in this broken and fallen world.
