Hello,
The Indonesian Government and the Indonesian Railways Company (PT KAI) have expressed an interest in extending and standardizing the railways of Java and Sumatra with 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) standard gauge tracks. Though we will only allow Indonesian workers to be employed in the work on these railways, I and my compatriots have reached out to your company for the greater planning and equipment for this great endeavor. Likely a job to be done in several phases, we are currently allowing a $700,000,000.00 budget for an extension of the Java railways to connect every city and port and allow ease of transport and travel.
We would like to discuss this further with you privately if at all possible, and if the first phase goes well, we may hire your services again to build larger railway projects on each of the major islands in our great country.
Sincerely,
Giri Suseno, Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia
