Subject: Dutch-Persian Relations

First Secretary Chamberlain,

I send warm greetings from my father, the Shahanshah of the Imperial State of Iran, who has spoken to me of his strong desire to return Dutch-Iranian relations to their Pre-1979 Islamic Revolution heights, following the disastrous past decades under Iran's long nightmare under the rule of the Ayatollahs. All of us with the Imperial State of Iran understand the damage caused to our bilateral relations by the Ayatollahs, however with their downfall I'm confident that our two nations can begin repairing the damage Ayatollahs have done to our bilateral relations and work together to build trust and mutually beneficial relations between our two great nations once again.

In order to do this as quickly as possible, my father the Shahanshah feels that the matter of the truly awful ballistic missile attacks by the Ayatollahs against targets within the Netherlands, must be brought to a close, which satisfies our two governments, but most importantly the survivors and families of this dark chapter in Iranian history. Though the House of Pahlavi was clearly opposed to the rule of the Ayatollahs for decades and in no way even remotely involved in this cowardly attack on the Netherlands, my father feels that it is necessary that this matter is addressed, healed, and then put to rest, in order for our two nations to begin our bilateral relations anew and with both sides fully trusting one another. I would like to meet with you or one of your representatives to accomplish this, either in the Netherlands or Iran, so that we can see to the finer details of healing and closure for the survivors and families of this traumatic event for the Dutch and Iranian people alike.

I am also hopeful that through our strong commitment and firm desire to fundamentally transform the last four decades of poor Dutch-Iranian relations, we can begin the process of rebuilding trust within our respective nations, while seeking to build mutually beneficial diplomatic, economic, military, and security ties between our two great nations. The oplurtunity to do begin this process is in front of us now and we need only work together to ensure that our two nations live in mutual peace, respect, and prosperity, for the rest of our days.

Sincerely,

National Security Adviser of the Imperial State of Iran, His Imperial Majesty, Crown Reza Pahlavi,

Your Majesty,

We would like to thank you for reaching out to us as a gesture of goodwill. I apologise, but please understand that we will judge your government's actions and not your words.

I believe it would be best for a meeting to be held between yourself, or a representative of your government, and the Dutch Ambassador to Iran. The best location would be Iran as anti-Iranian sentiment is still high among the Dutch population. There is little trust of Iranian governments as our peaceful mediation in a dispute resulted in civilians being targeted with weapons of mass destruction. The following government refused to acknowledge its failings in preventing the attack and wouldn't even hear about reparations for the victims and their families. All we asked for was the covering of funeral and medical expenses.

As a result we closed our diplomatic missions in Iran, which will remain closed until we see progress in improving the relations between our nations.

Yours Sincerely,

Leopold Albronda
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Kingdom of the Netherlands

Minister Albronda,

Given the three decades plus of rogue and reckless behavior from the previous regime, the Imperial State of Iran is well aware that our actions need to signal our policy of goodwill, not merely statements to that effect. Though I am hopeful that it at least brings some calm to the Dutch people to know that the backwards and reactionary political and governmental structures setup by the Ayatollahs is being completely deconstructed, thanks to the popular movement which has swept the Pahlavi Dynasty and Iran's new government into power a short while ago.

I agree that discretion and secrecy surrounding this matter is preferable, as I would not want to cause any disruptions within the Netherlands by traveling to your beautiful country, nor wish to see your government face any sort of public backlash from engaging in diplomacy with the Imperial State of Iran. So your Ambassador to Iran is welcome to meet with me at the Sa'dabad Palace Complex in Tehran whenever he would like and I'll ensure that word of his arrival at the palace does not reach the media. This way our two governments can interact with as free hands as possible, without public pressures causing complications and limitations on what is achievable between our two nations.

It is unfortunate, yet completely understandable to learn of the Dutch people's anti-Iranian feelings and their lack of trust in any Iranian governments, given the appalling actions of the last two Iranian governments towards the Dutch people. Immediately following the success of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini ordered the execution of over a thousand civil officials and politicians, military generals, and influential Iranians who were seen to be to close to the monarchy. Several of the victims were good friends of mine and many I knew personally, so I personally sympathise with the Dutch people and especially with the victims and their families. Unfortunately the repression within Iran under the Ayatollahs became steadily more severe, as they turned against many of their past allies during the 1979 revolution and the wholesale purge of liberals, communists, democrats, secularists, and many others began, as Khomeini sought to consolidate his power.

Anyway I don't want to bore you with a contemporary Iranian history lesson Minister Albronda, however I would like to request that my father be allowed to be interviewed by the Dutch Broadcasting Service, so that he can share his empathy with the Dutch people ovee their losses and hopefully reassure the Dutch people that the Imperial State of Iran seeks positive, mutually beneficial relations with the whole world, especially the netherlands, given the recent history of conflict. This would be an excellent opportunity to perhaps ease some of the anti-Iranian sentiment within your General populace and perhaps even begin the process of creating a partnership between our two nations.

Minister Albronda, please know that the Imperial State of Iran is more than willing to reimburse the families of the victims for any funeral expenses that they incurred, while any victims wounded in the attack will have their medical expenses covered in full by the Imperial State of Iran. Please send me a list of the expenses incurred by the victims of the previous regimes attack on your nation and I'll see to it that those expenses are covered as quickly as possible. Should any other needs of the victims arise, please let me know and I'll see to it that they are immediately addressed, either by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Royal Court of the Imperial State of Iran.

It's the hope of the Imperial State of Iran that this action on the part of the new government will be considered a first step to rebuilding healthy bilateral ties between our two nations.

Sincerely,

National Security Adviser of the Imperial State of Iran, His Imperial Majesty, Crown Reza Pahlavi,

Your Majesty,

I will dispatch Ambassador to Iran Marijke Boelens to Tehran for your proposed meeting. If you wish to partake in an interview with the Dutch Broadcasting Service, that can also be arranged. A Royal Netherlands Air Force Airbus ACJ319Neo will be carrying the delegation. Please ensure all arrangements are made prior to their arrival.

As for reimbursements, we request the following: $25,000.00 for the families of the 121 people who died, as for the injured we request $75,000.00 for the 302 who survived but are severely injured. This would come to a total of $25,675,000 which is not even a fraction of Iran's GDP, yet the former government saw it fit to refuse our request.

The delegation will be making their journey tomorrow.

Yours Sincerely,

Leopold Albronda

Minister Albronda,

Thank you Minister Albronda, I'm eagerly awaiting Ambassador Boelens arrival at Sa'dabad Palace. To ensure the secrecy of the Ambassadors meeting with me, please instruct the Royal Netherlands Air Force Airbus ACJ319Neo to land at Mehrabad International Airport, as this airport only handles domestic flights to Tehran and also houses the Imperial Iranian Air Forces largest air base. The Imperial Iranian Air Force will ensure that the arrival of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Airbus ACJ319Neo is as descreet as possible and kept away from prying eyes.

The Iranian Imperial Immortal Guards will arrange for a small motorcade to bring your delegation to Sa'dabad Palace and will also restrict access to the streets leading to Sa'dabad Palace when the motorcade nears the palace, so that we can be assured that no one knows of this meeting, until it is ready to be revealed.

In fact it would not be myself who would be interviewed by the Dutch Broadcasting Service, rather it would be my father, the Shahanshah of the Imperial State of Iran. We certainly want to go forward with this interview and it's our hope that the airing of the interview will have the effect of changing the negative opinion that much of your populace has towards Iran, by clearly demonstrating that the former Iranian regime has been overthrown and the Imperial State of Iran is now in safe, responsible, pro-western hands.

I am truly disgusted that the previous regime refused to pay such a modest price, given the suffering that was caused by the previous leadership of that same regime! As you've said, that fee is a tiny fraction of our national GDP and is easily covered by funds that our government has now set aside for investment and discretionary spending. I'm immediately arranging for the $25,675,000 to be transferred to your government, so that it can be dispersed to the victims and their families. While the Shahanshah has personally authorized the transfer of an additional $42,300,000 to the victims and their families, which amounts to $100,000 per victim and victims family.

The Shahanshah and Shahbanu have requested that their sincerest apology on behalf of the Imperial State of Iran is conveyed to the victims and their family members, for the previous regime committing this terrible crime. They would also like to make it known any of the injured victims and family members of the deceased victims ever wish to travel to the Imperial State of Iran, the Shahanshah and Shahbanu will arrange for and cover all of their travel costs to and from Iran, and would also be happy to personally meet with all of them. It is our hope that the true nature of Persian hospitality and culture will replace the image of the previous regime brutality and callous hatred in the minds of the global community, but most importantly in the minds of those most affected by that bloodthirsty regime.

Sincerely,

National Security Adviser of the Imperial State of Iran, His Imperial Majesty, Crown Reza Pahlavi,

Ambassador to Iran Marijke Boelens along with her delegation comprising of various aides from governmental departments and a journalistic team from the NOS and a five man Diplomatic Security Service team, would board the waiting Royal Netherlands Air Force Airbus ACJ319Neo. The aircraft would take off from Eindhoven Air Force base and safely navigate to Mehrabad International Airport, passing through neutral air space.

Upon entering Iranian airspace the pilots would contact air traffic control and follow instructions to safely land and taxi to their assigned gate, the security team would disembark first, ensuring the area was secure before allowing the ambassador to disembark and great the waiting Iranians.

Mehrabad International Airport, Tehran -

Mehrabad International Airport was quite different than Tehran's other major airport, the glitzy new Reza Shah International Airport, which finished construction in 2007. Unlike Tehran's beautiful new international airport, where rumors of a major expansion were riff, Mehrabad International Airport was a utilitarian, international airport, which primamy handled domestic flights from across the Empire, which were bound for Tehran, as well as some of the foreign and domestic governmental flights, while the international airport was of course also home to a squadron of Imperial Iranian Air Force fighter aircraft and additional Imperial Air Force personnel and equipment. All told, Mehrabad International Airport was quite retro and harkened back to the Imperial State od Iran's pre-1979 "Glory Days", when im the 1970's, many experts believed Iran was soon to join the top tier of nations. While the 1979 Islamic Revolution had dashed those hopes for a generation, the "White Revolution" and the return of the Pahlavi Dynasty to power within Tehran, had given rise to a widespread sense of optimism about the future of the Imperial State of Iran.

Waiting to receive the Dutch delegation was a "plain clothes" squad of twelve Javidan Guardsmen, who were all heavily armed, each carrying PC-9 ZOAF 9-mm semi-automatic pistols, with five clips of ammunition each, while six of the twelve guardsmen were armed with Fajr 224 carbines, for which each guardsmen carried three clips of ammunition. Leading this detachment from the Javidan Guards was the Commander of the Iranian Imperial Immortal Guard himself, Major General Prince Maher Pahlavi, the youngest son of the Shah and the man who it was said "Knew where all the regimes bodies were bured.". Major General Prince Maher Pahlavi was the power behind the throne and he looked every bit the part, sporting a well groomed dark beard, wearing silver and gold Prada aviator sunglasses, an expensive locally made black leather jacket, black designer pants, and expensive Italian dress shoes. Though he certainly looked every bit the playboy Prince, Major General Prince Maher Pahlavi also carried a PC-9 ZOAF 9-mm semi-automatic pistols, with five clips of ammunition, which wasn't simply for show.

Once the Royal Netherlands Air Force Airbus ACJ319Neo had safely landed at Mehrabad International Airport and had arrived at the assigned gate, it was Major General Prince Maher Pahlavi who was first to greet the Dutch envoy led by the Dutch Ambassador to Iran, Marijke Boelens, whose hand Major General Prince Maher Pahlavi shook and said "It's an honor to receive you in Tehran Ambassador Boelens. This terminal has been cleared of all travelers, media, and anyone might wish to inform the world of your arrival here in Tehran, so please follow me to our awaiting motorcade and we shall swiftly transport you and your people to Sa'dabad Palace, where my brother is waiting for you.".

With that the Javidan Guardsmen quickly ushered the Dutch delegation to an awaiting motorcade of four Iranian built ARAS SUV's and a dozen large black IKAP Peugeot 508 luxury sedans, where their things were quickly put inside the vehicles, which then immediately sped for Sa'dabad Palace once the Dutch delegation and Iranian guardsmen were all inside. Meanwhile the Royal Netherlands Air Force Airbus ACJ319Neo was ordered to taxi to an empty Imperial Iranian Air Force hangar, which could discreetly accommodate the large airliner and keep it away from prying eyes.

Racing to Sa'dabad Palace along the highway, one could see from their window Tehran's skyline, along with the major commercial and residential districts of this bustling metropolis of nearly nine million people, with another six million living within the metropolitan Tehran area. While Tehran appeared every bit the sprawling metropolis it's population made evident, the imposing, snow capped peaks and mountains of the Alborz mountain range, gave Tehran a unique, almost other worldly appearance.

Once the motorcade sped onto the grounds of the Sa'dabad Palace, Major General Prince Maher PahlavI said to the Dutch Ambassador "Ambassador Boelens.... My brother released the agreed upon funds to the Dutch victims of the tragedy carried out by the former Iranian regime. While my father added some extra money, to ease the suffering of the victims and their families. Should any of them require more and I mean a single soul, please let either myself or my brother know and we shall see to their needs, whatever they might be. You have our word on this matter. While my brother has several varied other matters which are sure to interest the Netherlands.".

With that the motorcade reached Sa'dabad Palace, where the National Security Adviser of the Imperial State of Iran, His Imperial Majesty, Crown Reza Pahlavi, was waiting for the arrival of Ambassador Boelens and the rest of the Dutch delegation.".

The ambassador and the delegation would greet the waiting security escort, with the ambassador saying "thank you for receiving me." Before following their directions and stepping into the waiting vehicles. The group would gaze upon the view as they drove through Tehran.

The ambassador would politely nod at the words of Major General Prince Maher Pahlavi.

Arriving at Sa'dabad Palace the Ambassador would step out, walking towards His Imperial Majesty, Crown Reza Pahlavi and extending her hand, "Your Majesty, thank your for receiving me. My government is grateful for your cooperation in attempting to resolve the incident which caused so much trouble between our nations."
