Greetings to the People's Republic of China from the Imperial State of Iran!
As I'm sure you're already well aware, our two civilizations share a long and rich history of engagement with one another. Truly the Chinese and Persian civilizations are two of the ancient civilizations upon whom the modern world is built upon. Our nations are the modern inheritors of this storied and glorious tradition of high culture, epic history, and two ancient civilizations who have continued to effect the world in their modern form. As such, it is no surprise that our two nations have continued to maintain cordial ties of friendship and mutual respect over the recent centuries, decades, and years, and it is the hope of the Shah that this will continue under our two respective governments.
I would like to begin a dialogue with you, either via secure video conference call, or perhaps in person, either in Tehran or within the PRC, so that we can discuss matters of current importance, such as reestablishing official diplomatic and commercial relations, discussing matters of geopolitical relevance, and discussing a number of mutually beneficial trade deals between our two nations.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and long live the Imperial State of Iran and the People's Republic of China in peace and prosperity!
Sincerely,
Minister of Commerce and Finance of the Imperial State of Iran, Mohammad Shariatmadari,
