While relations with the UK had historically been a bit more complicated than the US, many Israeli nevertheless considered that country a close friend to the Jewish cause. As such only minutes after concluding her call with the President of the United States, President Ariel David would call 10 Downing Street on a secured line to initiate formal discussions with the United Kingdom

The British Deputy Prime Minister, Sebastian Gibbs, took the call directly.

"Good Afternoon." he spoke softly down the phone, introducing himself "Deputy Prime Minister, Sebastian Gibbs speaking. Mr Bourne is unavailable right now due to other meetings but I'm able to represent Britain and her interests on any discussions surrounding relations with other countries. How are you today?" His tone of voice was rather polite and quiet, acknowledging who he was speaking to after been put through by the operators.
