OPERATION SAFEGUARD.
HUMANITARIAN AID & SECURITY
[STAGING POINT]: Changi Naval Base
[DESTINATION]: Port of Vancouver
[ROUTE]: OJ -> PJ -> PK -> PL -> OL -> OM -> ON -> RN -> AN -> BN -> CN
[ETA]: 11 Days [9/20/18]
Combined elements of TF10 and 20 form Joint Task Force 65 [JTF65] as part of the initial planning stages of Operation Safeguard.
JTF65 is assigned the primary objective of delivering three companies of the King's brigade, 4th. Guards BCT, to the Port of Vancouver safely. Singaporean units are tasked with providing security, supplies and medical aid to all citizens within the borders of British Columbia. They are also to assist in the vetting of refugees fleeing into the province (due to communist and islamist concerns), all the while ensuring refugees and citizens human rights are not being violated. Tertiary objective for security forces is to locate and provide safety to foreign nationals in B.C. and arrange their extraction back to their home countries if possible.
Once all units, vehicles and supplies have been off-loaded, both LPD ships will refuel and remain at port in Vancouver for the duration of the mission. RSS Aggression and Independence are tasked with (after refueling, that is) patrolling Canadian coastal waters until given notice of a change in mission.
