Logistic trucks for Portugal

From the convenes of the Royal Assembly, the Defense Ministry has publicly put forth a request to buy at least 18 Cargo/Logistic trucks for the use of the military. The request would be sent out to the ministry's foreign counterparts. Those who are willing to help in acquiring such goods may contact either the Ministry of Defense, or straight to the Office of the Prime Minister, where the price can be negotiated. The selected nations would be prioritized, and would be sent letters beforehand.

France, Germany, The United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Sweden.

Both the Royal Assembly and the Defense Minister hope to receive a timely response from any nation willing to cooperate with Portugal.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to confirm receipt of your letter regarding the acquisition of Swedish logistical support vehicles available for international trade. On the basis your letter has come from a central government body your correspondence has been forwarded to my office, rather than the usual private organisations trading in such goods, as usual protocol within Sweden.

We are the home of a number of fantastic, reliable, strong and combat-proven logistical vehicles and suppliers - your letter is not misguided. As such we would be very happy to supply vehicle of this stature however our minimum production rate is twenty five (25) vehicles or a cost price of at least $500,000,000.00 - whichever is reached first.

In this instance, should you want to remain with your initial order of eighteen (18), we would be unable to negotiate a sale as profits would be minuscule. Please do not hesitate to get back in touch should you wish to meet our minimums.

The Structure of BAE Systems has over the last several hours been amended to be part of an umbrella group of UK Defence Industries named 'Nexus Limited'.
With this in mind, and been the major defence partner of the United Kingdom, Nexus Limited would provide a quotation to the Portuguese Government of 18 MAN FX90 4x4 Logistic Vehicles.

The quotation was sent to the Portuguese Ministry of Defence on an encrypted and private email:

The Portuguese would respectfully decline the offer that Sweden has presented, however they would still assure the Swedes that a future venture may still be possible, just not at this time. A letter would be sent privately, stating "Financial Situation" as one of the main reasons for denial.

The Portuguese would approach the British and reply to their private message privately. The Portuguese are interested in the deal and would like to learn more about acquiring the products. A budget has been set aside for purchase and would like to hear from their British counterparts soon.

The Portuguese Government would be privately informed that they may have noticed a 5% discount on the order in good faith for hopefully a beginning of a long-term friendship with Nexus. Privately confirming that if they would like to go ahead with the order of 18 MAN FX90 4x4 Vehicles, they'd just need to transfer the full amount of 3,933,684.00 and reference quote number #1 and the construction would begin of the vehicles, or if they have any questions or would like to discuss the deal, to call Head Office.

The Portuguese would thank the British for their support and would notify them that the funds would be transferred as soon as possible. They would also say that by delivering the order, they have started a foundation for any future ventures to come, stating "As one of Portugal's long-term historical allies, The United Kingdom doesn't fail to deliver their friendship, and we [The Portuguese] would like to repay them for everything that they have done in the near future."
