[MENA] New Ministry of Tourism and Sports

Cairo - President Mando Safar signed earlier today the Presidential Decree creating the new Ministry of Tourism and Sports. This new ministerial level unit will fuse the previous National Tourism Agency and the Secretariat for Sports, until now part of the Ministry of Education. The goal of this is to boost the touristic potential of Egypt, which is already one of the prime tourism destinations worldwide and the most visited country in the african continent. The new administrative entity will come with an increase in its budget and faculties. Official sources have indicated that there are already talks going on with foreign governments and companies to launch specific tourism programs and packages, including sites all around the territory of the land of the pharaos.
