The Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs would initiate an encrypted and secure call to his French counterpart, reading a file on the current situation as he waited patiently for a respinse.

French Republic, Honorable Jean-Yves Le Drian, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, would receive a phone call from his Dutch counterpart. The call is encrypted and Secret Call. French Foreign Minister would check the room to make sure that no one is snooping in. He would place in two armed guard. Upon getting green signal from Directorate-General for External Security, the call is full encrypted and top secret.

"Minister Le Drian, Leopold Albronda speaking, thank you for answering the call. I've been tasked with contacting you to understand the situation between your own nation and Argentina. We have gotten to know the Argentinian side of the story through their official statement, however we believe that by knowing both perspectives we can begin working towards peace."

"Furthermore, with your nation now at war with Argentina, my government is worried about the island of Saint Martin. Since you are now at war we fear that the Argentinians could decide to invade your territory, my government now fears for the safety and well-being of both our citizens on the island. Could I ask how you plan on defending the island, or will you declare it to be an 'open city'? Lastly, I would like to present you with an offer, your government could temporarily transfer sovereignty of the island to my own in order to prevent any Argentinian invasion therefore securing the safety of our citizens."

"We are looking for peace, but it's late now. Argentina declared war on us. Our hands are tied now. We will try our best to defend these territories. We have french citizens are there too. You have been given clearance to temporarily govern the land until the war is over. I mean we have plans to defend but I think it's late now. It will be virtual suicide."

"Alright now our goal is to protect mainland france. But I believe I need someone to protect my overseas territories. Noumea, New Caledonia, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Réunion, Martinique, Mayotte, French Polynesia needs to be protected from further Argentine invasion. Once, the war is over, the territories returns back to France. We will ever remember your assistance. Tonight we are launching Cyber attack to Argentine capabilites. Last night we have attacked on the twitter to undermine Argentine population."

"I understand Minister, I have made the necessary changes to the document to detail the transfer of sovereignty of your overseas territories to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. As for your offensive cyber operations, that doesn't fall within my expertise. If you wish to relay any information on your operations then please do so through the Ministry of Defence, they are much better suited to analysing and responding to those types of situations than I am."

"I have transferred the updated treaty to your office, if you wish I can give you some time to speak with your cabinet colleagues. However, time is of the essence and I believe the sooner we ratify the document the sooner we can guarantee the safety of both our citizens."

The office of the French Minister of Foreign Affairs would receive the update version of the Treaty of Philipsburg.

"Understood, we will share all necessary information pertinent to attack. We hereby give you the authority to govern these overseas French territories and protect them from Argentine Invasion. Before we transfer the governance, I would like to mention that Kingdom of Netherlands cannot transfer the sovereignty of the islands to any other nation without French government permission. Once the war is over, Kingdom of Netherlands will hereby return these overseas territories to French Republic.

We would like to thank you for protecting our nation from Argentine Invasion. We will ever grateful to you."

The minister signs the document and faxes it back to the Netherlands on a secure line.

"Thank you for your quick action. I will have to end this call as I am required to now make attempts at holding off Argentinian attempts at violating the sovereignty of the islands. Before I go, could I ask if the French government would be willing to allow the Dutch to attempt to mediate the conflict between yourself and Argentina?"

The signed treaty would be copied and stored securely into the government archives. Copies would be sent to the formerly French overseas territories to inform them in the chance in sovereignty. They would also be informed to not engage with Argentinian forces unless they had received further instructions from The Hague.

"Before you hang up, I would like to notify you that we have lost 1389 naval personnel along with 4 Frigates, 2 submarines, 1 tanker, 1 destroyer sunken in response to Argentine attack. It's a sad day for us, but we can't compensate for losing any more personnel and equipment. We will launch investigation. We have tried to talk to Argentine official but they never listened. You can go ahead and talk on behalf of French Government. I will have Ms. Parly the minister of defense to reach out Dutch MOD tonight."

"I wish to offer my condolences to the families which lost their loved ones. However, this only strengthens my position for the need to find a resolution to this conflict before more people die in this unnecessary war. We will attempt to contact the Argentinian government and offer them a seat at the table. It is essential that you understand that a cabinet minister will have to represent the French government. Though, it would be advisable to remain calm and ask for Dutch mediation if you disagree with something, we will then do our best to explain the terms or find a compromise that is suitable to both sides."

"Lastly it would be greatly increase the chance of Argentina joining peace negotiations if you halt any and all planned attacks on Argentina and simply take up defensive positions until we know more of their course of action."

"We are currently attempting to contact the Argentinian government with the offer of peace negotiations, therefore I am grateful to hear you are willing to hold off on any offensive operations. I hope your administration is willing to understand the position you put your adversaries in after the Alexandria incident. There will need to be justice if there is going to be peace, I hope your government is willing to send the names of anyone directly responsible for the incident to my office, for reference in possible future investigations."
