Your Majesty,

Thank you for your letter of support. It has been over three days since I was forced to dissolve the Storting. Democratic government has operated without pause in Norway for 67 years. Yet within the first year of my reign, the government has suffered a critical failure which has nearly brought my kingdom into civil war. The domestic priorities of my transitional Royal Government have so far been to return Norway's economy to the status quo, investigate the massive election fraud that occurred, and bring the guilty parties to justice. We are also trying to organize a constitutional convention, and prepare for the next round of elections.

The foreign priority of my government is, first and foremost, ensuring that the international community understands that the actions I have taken were done as a last resort, and it is my desire to restore an elected government to Norway. I fear that the lack of international inquiries to Norway's status show that the world is unsure of what we're doing. If I had any favor to ask of you, it would be that your government informs any skeptical allies of The Netherlands of what I've told you above, and that despite the recent constitutional crisis, the Norwegian state is stable, our economy functioning, and our people at ease and loyal - all of which I assure you is the absolute truth.

The Netherlands is the second nation to make contact with Norway since we averted crisis, but you are the first leader of all the world to personally contact me. Thank you for reaching out to me. I'm unaware of how involved you have been in times of crisis, but despite the patriotic duty I expect of others, I have come to learn in the past few days that governance is treated as a game by many of those who play it. Even when times come to set apart differences, such as now, the lust for power is still too strong for some. I take solace in speaking to another man who can't afford to be succumbed by the allure of political power and glory. Your letter and well-wishes have done more than you can imagine to strengthen my resolve after several sleepless nights.

I would like for us to have further correspondence in the future, and for our countries to have more than formal relations.

The Netherlands itself found itself in a civil war against radical Islamist fighter a mere four years ago, many people and soldiers lost their lives, so we will support your temporary government in order to maintain peace and stability within your borders. I chose to contact you personally as I expected that a show of support from a fellow European monarch would offer you more strength in the coming months. While I do not have the task of running a country as you do, I know the pressure which you now feel on your shoulders. To bring our nations closer together will become a priority for my nations government, as they aim for a stable and prosperous Europe.
