After two weeks of formation the first purple cabinet has been formed, headed by Prime Minister Kok. His party the PvdA is joined by the VVD and D66 as they formed a government that was made to "Ensure Dutch economic stability during the global economic crisis." Because of the mentioned economic crisis the formation went a lot faster, and some critics ask if the government will be stable enough once the crisis is over and they will need to make important decisions on the Dutch welfare state, taxation system, and more. But that's in the future, for now the Cabinet is focused on getting through the economic crisis.
