Officers of the Serbian Police would gather outside the homes of several persons known to be partially in charge of the military failure that led to Serbia's unlawful removal from Kosovo during the 1999 war. The public reason for this would be that Serbia is finally taking serious bringing to justice of Everyone responsible for the crimes and disastrous mistakes that were made that year. The officers were each armed with .40 S&W-chambered CZ-99s, as these older gentlemen were unlikely to put up a fight. Once they stormed the houses, they would serve warrants to these men, marching them out of their homes and driven in police vehicles to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where they were to be tried for their crimes against humanity, and Serbia.

The list of persons who arrested in this police operation would include the following:

Nikola Šainović
Dragoljub Ojdanić
Nebojša Pavković
Vladimir Lazarević
Sreten Lukić
Vlastimir Đorđević
Vlajko Stojiljković
Slobodan Milošević

Looking into the situation with interest, the Vietnamese General Intelligence Directorate would immediately contact it's Eastern European Affairs Office, requesting that a case officer be put onto the situation to determine potential motives, future actions, and consequences in the region.

The persons arrested in this operation would be driven to the Ministry of Defense, the headquarters of the Serbian Armed Forces, where they were involuntarily recalled into the armed forces, who would try them for their crimes in a military tribunal. The Army held these military tribunals in closed, private courtrooms, where only the accused, their defense counsel, prosecutors, the officers presiding, those officers chosen to stand as a jury, a court stenographer, and essential witnesses were allowed to be present for the cases.

The government kept these cases rather private and prevented most of the details (other than stuff like "it doesn't look too good for this guy") from leaking out to any press or members of the international community until they announced the verdicts and sentences at the end of the trials, which would read as follows:

Nikola Šainović: Found guilty of 4 counts of crimes against Humanity. Sentenced to 22 years in a military brig.

Dragoljub Ojdanić: Guilty, 6 counts, Crimes against humanity, 3 Counts, Crimes against the Constitution of Yugoslavia. 1 Count Treason. Sentenced to Hang from the neck until dead.

Nebojša Pavković: Guilty, 5 Counts, Crimes against Humanity. 2 Counts, Violating the Laws and Conduct of War. Sentenced to life in a military brig.

Vladimir Lazarević: Guilty, 4 Counts, Crimes against Humanity, ~200 Counts, Murder, 100 Counts, Violating the Laws and Conduct of war, 10 Counts, Treason, Sentenced to hang from the neck until dead.

Sreten Lukić: Guilty, 5 Counts, Crimes against Humanity, ~100 Counts, Murder, 10 Counts, Treason. Sentenced to hang From the neck until dead.

Vlastimir Đorđević:
Guilty, 5 Counts, Crimes against Humanity, Sentenced to 30 years in a military brig

Vlajko Stojiljković: Hung Self in Captivity while awaiting sentencing.

Slobodan Milošević: Found guilty of 25 counts of Crimes against Humanity, 10 counts of Treason. sentenced to hang from the neck until dead.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs would be watching the verdicts being handed down closely, it would start raising suspicions in her office over the exact intentions of the Serbian Government.

"They've had almost 13 years to bring these people under arrest and prosecute... why now? Something must've triggered it and I want to know why. Please get our Ambassador in Belgrade onto this matter. We can't have a repeat of the 90s again, we spent millions on military operations and god knows how politically unpopular it was for Chretien."

The Ambassador would be informed and she would pick up the phone and ring the Serbian Foreign Minister.

Outside the doors to the building used for these tribunals, another truck would arrive, carrying several high-ranking Kosovars.

If the press were watching, they would see Agim Çeku, Ramush Haradinaj, Fatmir Limaj, Hakim Thaci, and Sylejman Selimi being led out of these trucks and into Serbia's Defense Ministry. Once past the Security Cordon, which would only allow credentialed members of the Serbian Military and other specifically authorized persons through, they were escorted to holding cells, where they would remain until the military tribunal could give them trials, and dispensed justice the same as the Serbian war criminals who had been sentenced and were soon to have those sentences carried out.

Nikola Šainović, Nebojša Pavković, and Vlastimir Đorđević were loaded onto the recently arrived truck, and delivered to a penitentiary.

The Kosovars and Serbians sentenced to Death would be remanded into the Military's Custody, who would take them to Batajnica Air Base, where Ramush Haradinaj and Sylejman Selimi, the two sentenced to death by firing squad, would be lined out almost immediately, and ceremonially shot by members of the Base's staff.

Meanwhile, Fatmir Limaj and Agim Ceku would be remanded to the custody of the very same penitentiary that took those Serbians sentenced to prison sentences, however, they would be kept in a segregated space from them. Dragoljub Ojdanić, Vladimir Lazarević, Sreten Lukić, Slobodan Milošević, and Hakim Thaci would be kept in a holding cell at Batajnica Air Base, while gallows were prepared for their execution.

President Ngo of the Republic of Vietnam would appear before his daily press conference, declaring that a sudden and swift execution of Kosovan nationals under a closed, kangaroo court is a "direct violation of human rights" and has called upon the Serbian government to suspend further executions, release their political prisoners, and end any military operation in Kosovo or they may face dire consequences.

With a Gallows having been prepared by the Serbian Military, those war criminals sentenced to death by hanging would secretly be marched out of their temporary prisoners' barracks and lined up in front of their nooses. At the crack of dawn, 300 of the base's ground complement were called out to parade formation. Their Battalion Commander would give them a speech, which would be broadcast to the rest of Serbia's military bases and deployments for the consumption of all of Serbia's soldiers and airmen (the hanging itself was not broadcasted, merely the speech).

"Men. Today, 15 years after the start of the war that killed so many, tore our country to pieces and drove the devastating and disgusting forces of the west to cast their lots against us, It is time for justice to be served. I've called parade formation today to exemplify to you, and indeed to the rest of our military, what fate lies in wait for those who commit crimes against humanity. Lined up before you are Serbians, Kosovar and not, who in their bids for security, or for independence, committed unspeakable, and inexcusable acts against fellow Serbians, against foreigners, and against God himself. From uncounted massacres throughout the term of the insurgency to the trafficking of drugs, people, and even organs to fund said terrorist insurgency. These men have wrought unspeaking pain and done unspeakable evil to our nation, and to our continent. And for that, it is necessary that we do so.

Let it be known across Serbia, the Balkans, and indeed the world, that the crimes which were committed 15 years ago will be answered for. Indeed this is merely the beginning. No stone shall be left unturned, no criminal shall be safe. Anyone who committed a war crime against any citizen of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia will be brought to justice, by whatever means necessary. Look closely at these men, knowing what fate is to befall them, and what crimes got them here. I guarantee each of you, that anyone who, under my command, does any similar, their fate will be worse a thousandfold. Dismissed."

After the airmen filed off of the grounds where the Gallows had been erected, the prisoners were given the chance to speak to a clergy member of their religion and then had their sentences carried out.

The Irish Government would praise Serbia for having carried out justice in manner impartial and in line with the rule of law as embraced by the western and civilised worlds in the face of condemnation from the great powers.
