"Excellent! When would you propose to host the first match? With that date in mind, we can begin planning the visit and booking the tickets and hotels. We would have to do it between competitions to have all our best players available."
"Yes, we would like to host the match. We only need to do 1 friendly match, just enough to prepare for the 2013 Summer Olympics in Nigeria. We start have conduct the friendly game in the last week of this month (May); while it is still summer and before Philippine school year starts (on the month of June).
The usual ticket prices in PBA matches in Mall of Asia Arena ranges between $50 for general admission up to $950 for VIP box. It think we can increase this little bit more, since this is an international match, let's say: $70 for general admission, $150 for upper box, $300 for lower box, $600 for special seats, $900 for patron seats, and $1,200 for VIP box.
PBA and Argentine Basketball will of course split the ticket sale 50-50. Advertisement revenue of course will proceed to PBA and SM Corporation (owner of the entire Mall of Asia). But of course, you can encourage Argentine private companies to plug in their advertisements to this event. No problem with us airing Argentina companies/sponsor on Philippine TV along with Philippine companies. What's important is we both gain revenues.
We will billet your basketball team and your management team in Sofitel Philippine Plaza (https://www.sofitelmanila.com/) located also in Pasay City; just nearby the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) complex.
"This sounds great! I think we can move on with this. I am ready to sign the contract for this test match. It will be a good opportunity for us as well, to get more training for next years Olympics in Nigeria.
Once we have this signed, I will announce it here in Argentine and also send out the citations for the players.
I expect most of our star players, led by Manu Ginobili, to attend this match."
PBA President Robert "Sonny" Jaworski sends the contract of the friendly match to the office of the Argentine Basketball Confederation (CABB) via fax. The contract is already pre-signed by him (Jaworksi), Henry Sy (the CEO of SM Prime Holdings (SMPH) who owns the SM Mall of Asia, and all the sponsors of the upcoming friendly match.
Robert Jaworksi would then speak: "We look forward for an exciting match!"
"We do to, it will be a great spectacle and a good measure point for our nations team in view of the upcoming olympics."
The Argentine Basketball Confederation would sign the received contract and make a small press conference announcing the upcoming test match against the Philippine National Team, as a practice for next years Olympic Games.
