Pułkownik(Colonel) Iwon Mikita of the 18th Mechanized Division had been given a set of leave papers on the eve of the training operation taking place in the eastern regions of Poland. Dressed in civilian attire, he boarded a commercial flight to Moscow, leaving from Warsaw Poland. To anyone surveying the man, it would appear as though he was simply going on vacation to visit extended family in Moscow.

With the discreet nature of the arrival the Russians would keep their recieval of Iwon Mikita discreet as well. Two plane clothes Russian Spetsnaz Alpha Group members would be there to receive him. One would carry his luggage while the other kept a suspicious eye on all around them. Tucked into their wastelands in conceal carry positions were PSM pistol with filled magazines.

The two would take Iwon to the parking lot where a UAZ-469 was parked with a figure in the rear cramped seat. The man was wearing plane clothes as well, but there were more akin to something someone wear in 1980s Russia. When the two Spetsnaz arrived he simply gave the Polosh officer a nod as the door was opened for him. As soon as he was in the two Spetsnaz woild get into the front, start the car, and get to driving.

"Welcome to Russia. Sorry for the lack of a grand welcome, but we have to keep things as unnoticeable as possible. I will update you on our current positioning." He would hand the man a large piece of folded up paper. On it was the positioning of the Russian army along the Belarusian border."We've fully deployed and have prepared spearheads to utilize the highway system. Our key objectives are to take airports, railcars and bridged. If we do that from our side their aircraft will have no where to retreat to shoild they be threatened on the ground. Their troop movement will also be de limited if we control the railways. We have no evidence that their eastern airports and airbases are in use. So we suggest strikes on western portions. If we move quickly we can do this relatively painlessly."

"While we will have early portions easy if they decide to fight, then Poland will have the most trouble as their forces are concentrated westward."

"This is all the welcome I need, thank you," Colonel Mikita stated as he accepted the paper. "We have deployed two divisions as well as an Air Wing near the town of Terespol and Brest. We will most likely need air support on the western front. Our GROM missile systems, while effective against helicopters, will have little effect on their fighters. I believe we take a page from Germany's playbook and attempt to move fast using our IFVs and tanks. We also have a division in standby but not near the front. Speaking of which. At this time we have no long range artillery, anti-aircraft guns, or close air support craft. If your forces can push in enough to distract their troops on the western front we can possibly achieve a blitz move towards Minsk. That way we can pincer them and take out their chain of command."

Colonel Mikita did not mind the cramped quarters of the vehicle, as it drove. And he payed little mind to the sights to see. But mainly focused on the paper in front of him.

"Do you have similar surveillance of the eastern forces? Our troops on the ground will find it easier to win a fight if they have positions, numbers, vehicles, and such."

"At this time we do not. It will become more tricky to get information with direct recon now that they know we are doing overflights. We recommend you allow us to use side looking radar aircraft along your border with them. This will give us general information. Also, I agree with your plan. We will apply enough pressure to make then redirect and aim to take out Minsk as quickly as possible. Be aware however that they may opt to try and defang your offensive with a counter push with their tanks. As for air cover. We predict we will be able to cut down their airforce well before they ever take off But air strikes are never fully effective."

"We are amenable to the use of surveillance aircraft along our border. Just for the operations within Belarus mind you. We have Air Radar stationed near the border so we can see if any aircraft get within one hundred kilometers or so from our border so we will have some notice before their aircraft move in. Once we are out our destination, my superiors have advised me to have a secured and encrypted phone line established to be able to communicate plans with the commanders on the ground. I would personally like to request a small group to assist in going through information to insure crucial information is passed along in a timely manner."

"Granted. We can get that line set up once we arrive."

They would be in for a couple hour drive to the main operation base. It had been established behind the assembled Russian line which had so far gone unnoticed by Belarus. Parking soldiers would open the door in full uniform and salute as they all exited the vehicle."This way." he would say before leading them to a command tent."Get us a line to the Polish military. We need communication asap." they added before leading over to a map which had the location of the front lines positioned with unit locations marked.

"As you know i said it is critical that we move quickly. However, there is another aspect. We must suppress their air defenses. This will make way for us to be able to perform a landing with our VDV forces and disrupt behind their lines. We can use anti radiation missiles to take those out. However, we need to pick a target for the VDV to land at. Here is my suggestion."

He said pointing at a point in the map."Orsha, Minsk, Stoŭbcy, Baranovichi, Brest railway stations. We land paratroopers there and then take each location with ground troops from our armored train force. This will paralyze their ability to move troops eastwards."

"Another thing, and this is crucial to the success of this operation as a whole. We need Poland to invade first. This is key to causing as little damage as possible as well as keep the GA off our backs. Poland will invade first, which will give us the causes belli declare Belarus as being under our 'protection' where we then move our troops in to 'defend' Belarus. We then upon having the capital under our control have them join the Union State, and then we negotiate on their behalf. Thus ceding the territory you want, and getting us the majority of Belarus. Our troops will not fight. If they come close to it, we will initiate war game procedures to only make it appear that they are."
