Subject: Opening of Relations and Official Recognition

His Excellency Tsai Ing-wen President of the Republic of China

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Portugal as officially recognized the Republic of China as a nation in the international community being the first major nation in Europe to do so. we would very much rejoice to invite you to Lisbon, to kick start a state visit, formalizing this decision. Further more we would also like to open a Embassy and four Consulates in your nation to cement our relationship, and vice-versa. We understand that this might cause severe repercussions from Mainland China, however we are ready for anything they throw at us, and even perhaps they will see this as oputunity to also recognize you as a independent nation.

Hopefully you can agree to visit Portugal today or tomorrow.

Yours faithfully
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa
President of the Portuguese Federal Republic

The VIP convoy would take the Taiwanese to the ground of the Palacio de Belém, following along the road, escorted by Police, upon arriving to the Palace Ground the Convoy would open the door to the President of Taiwan.

The President of Portugal would greet the woman with a warm smile and handshake, asking if the trip went good, along side pointing out the number of journalists present to take their picture, which they would pose for. After that, they would enter the building, escorted by their security guards, and would reach the visit room, where a small number of reporters and cameras were allowed in.

The President would sit on the main chair while the Taiwan President would be directed to sit on the large Sofa, as per protocol. The President would smile towards his counterpart, while asking the cameras of they where ready. After that he would begin to speak with the Taiwanese.

"First and foremost, let me tell you that it is a great pleasure to have you here in Portugal, I hope you are enjoying this so far. This really shows the great relationship we have and how proud we hare that you are here present in Portugal." he would nod towards the Taiwanese for him to give his open remarks.

Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-Wen would shake hands with Portuguese President and would sat down. She would look around the room where few journalists and camera personnel allowed.

Madame President of Taiwan would chuckle and said, " My trip went well. It's a long flight. I am honored to be here in Portugal, it is my great pleasure to get our country recognized by Portugal. We will ever remember the hospitality that Portuguese government did to us. We have come here to share our common views and goals for our nation."

"I'm sure that we will discuss our commons views and goals for our relationship in our private meeting." He would chuckle

The Chief of Staff would take advantage of the quick silence and would turn to the reporters. "I was informed that some of you had a few questions to ask both Presidents, so please, follow the queue I sent you."

The first to ask the question would be a RTP Reporter.
"Thank you Mr.Silva and Mrs.Ing-Wen, how do you both view this relationship in the future and to Mrs.Ing-Wen how as the general Taiwanese public reacted towards this news? Thank you."

The Portuguese President would answer the first part. "Well, Portugal views Taiwan as a potential friend and partner, the future is uncertain, however I'm sure that, as time passes by, we will grow into a strong and friendly relationship between our nations and people." He would look towards the Taiwanese President to hear her answer on both parts.

Madame President Tsai Ing-Wen would eagerly listen to what her Portuguese counterpart just said and she chuckled by hearing the statement. Taiwanese President would answer the statement that RTP reporter just asked, “Thank you for the question. First I would like to thank Portugal President Silva to invite us here and we are grateful to receive hospitality and recognition. When Portugal recognized Taiwan, the people of Taiwan became joyous and happy. We believed any country can recognize Taiwan but the official recognition came from Portugal. We view Portugal is a friend, future partners in all areas. I strongly agree with President Silva that future in uncertain but let us not slide the present. We have to think about the present and what we both can do to change in global affairs and in our friendships. Our people will be happy to have a friend like Portugal.” Taiwanese President would turn to Portuguese President.

The Portuguese President would smile while he heard her talking, after she was done answering the question another would ensue from the press.

"Another question, from TVI, for both Presidents, how do you feel this decision will be taken by Chinese Authorities?"

The Portuguese President. "Well I do believe we might see some action from them towards both our nations, but I hope they see that this as a new opportunity for reconciliation with Taiwan." He would turn towards his Taiwanese Counterpart waiting for her answer.

The Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen would chuckle after listened to both President Silva and TVI journalist. She would then answer, “I believe that Chinese Authorities won’t take us very lightly. Because they still think Taiwan is their part while we are an independent nation, we believe China is the biggest elephant and foe against our nation. I believe having this great relationship with Portugal, will make China to recognize our nation, we will move forward from there. Again, to the Chinese authority, we are not meddling their internal affairs and we don’t care what they think about the Republic of Taiwan. So I believe they will act crazy at first but later on, I believe they will understand our values.”

President of Taiwan would drink water. She would turn her Portuguese counterparts to hear about the answer the question that TVI journalists asked.

The President would nod in agreement with the President of Taiwan, while the chief of staff would say :"I do believe that is all we have time for, now both Presidents will have a private talk in the Private Meeting Room, if you all could follow me into the Press Conference room where we will wait for their own remarks."

The Press and Reporters would leave the room to the press room, while both Presidents would be redirected by two aides, into another door, leading to the Private Meeting Room and also Office of the President. The President would remark "That really went well, don't you think?" He would let her pass the door first as a gentlemen he is.

He would sit down by his office table, and the Taiwanese would sit in directly in front of him for a more informal talk. "So how are things going in Taiwan? Hopefully there was no fallout from your opposition due to the repercussions that this can bring to Taiwan."

After the initial press statement was over, the Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen would follow President Sousa, said, “I agree with you that our press conference really went well and I am looking forward to hear your perspective about our upcoming private meeting.” She would walk with President Sousa and she then enter the office. Madame President Tsai Ing-Wen would look around the President’s Office and she would sat down in front of President Sousa. “Everything is going well in Taiwan, we are peaceful nation and so there is no problems that we have seen under my administration. No problems from the opposition. I loved to be here when I first sworn as a president. Such a great atmosphere, environment is great, people are nice, cultural. Again I am loved to be here. How’s everything at Portugal?”

"That's quite good, and I am thankful you feel so well loved here, its a honour" He would make a short pause. "Portugal.. well continues to be itself, not really much to add, apart from that scandal with Brazil and the classified document, which I'm not allowed to disclose or comment about as it under a very though investigation. So shall we get down to business? I would love to continue to talk with you, but we have an agenda to meet, even if it is boring." He would chuckle a bit knowing the informality of the meeting. "Well first I would like to propose a full Trade Agreement between our nations, opening a trade route between Lisboa and Taipé, mainly using the Port of Sagres and the Port of Kaohsiung, we would very much like to export our Foot Wear which is currently the biggest production value in Europe, would it be possible to get a list of your resources?" (From old MN)

He would make a very short pause "Also, since we are already speaking about trade, we are looking to invest in the Taiwanese Infrastructure, mainly we would like to construct a Commercial Only Railroad between Kaohsiung and Taipé, serving your nation extremely well, by utilizing this highway or highrail"
He would chuckle at the pun. "To bring products and supplies from Kaohsiung easier and cheaper, then using the current installations which are also used for Population Transportation, for this we would be looking at a 380 Million Dollars investment, with no charge to your nation during construction, for this we would only need a small part of the Port of Kaohsiung donated to us to better use its location to easily transport products to the Capital. Of course this would could then be used by your government at a lower cost, paid directly to us, then using the already built railroads, which could then be used for Population, easing the strain on your economy and finances. Also this would bring unimaginable beneficts to your nation, such as economy growth, more supplies and products in your stores and manufacturing companies, and more. Do accept this? the investment would be paid by us of course, this would be built by us, at no cost to you."

Brazil is one of the fickle minded and the craziest nation in the world where we hold zero or no relations with them. Not to mention, Ah Brazilians, they are aggressive, they have history of various mental disorder where they sold states to Argentinians. In my view, Brazil is a Monkey Land which means they are biggest ape that I have ever seen. I bet they did bad things to you and hope everything is alright with you. Anyways, Trade is important for us. From Lisbon to Taipei it would boost economies both of our nations. The top 10 products that we would like to exports are such as Electrical machinery equipment, Computers/Laptops(Acer, Asus), Plastics, plastic articles, Optical, technical, medical apparatus, Vehicles, Crude Oil, Copper, Iron and Steels.

President Tsai would pause and drink water.

She would continue, “In order to earn blue economy, we are investing into infrastructure. On the Port of Kaohsiung, there are two harbors such as 1st harbor and 2nd harbor. 1st harbor strictly for Taiwanese Navy and defense infrastructure while 2nd harbor is the one that I can give you access to use for trading purposes. I like your investment ideas, so I accept your offer and please use 2nd harbor for trading purposes.

"I see you have a very strong opinion of Brazil, it would certainly please you that the Portuguese Foreign Affairs office is trying to initiate a reconciliation with the new government, it could very well be a improvement from the past one."

He would make a short pause. "We would certainly like to import your Crude Oil for our refineries, would this be possible? I already have the document for you to read here, writen by our international trade Lawyers."

After hearing about the proposal he would also speak. "So would you donate this 2nd Harbor to Portugal? It will increase your regional economy and development to further level and allow you a easier access to goods and supplies. We could then also extend this line to more major cities which will be a easier once the main railroad is in place. It will be a high-speed rail, so goods wouldn't take a long time to reach the cities. So can we call this a deal?"

Taiwan produces 1000 bbl of crude oils per day. We would like to export to Lisbon so that you can use them on their refineries. We would charge $60 per barrel of crude oil. Can I take a look at your document that your trade lawyers has made if possible? Yes, I am giving you the access of Port of Kaohsiung’s 2nd harbor. This allow us to receive goods faster by having commercial high speed rail. Given the crude oil, we don’t use, I am willing to export them. Taiwan is a country where we fully rely on coal power, solar, wind power and nuclear energy. Deal!!

She would pause. Then continue, “Apart from trade, can we jointly develop future soldier system and other defense systems?
