To: Yussef Al-Yassir From: Tang Jiaxuan Dearest Minister Al-Yassir, I am contacting you on behalf of the People's Republic of China in the hopes of opening diplomatic ties between our two nations. Syria's current decisions relating to trade worldwide along with internal foreign businesses has made us questionable about the state and stability of your current government, however, as China has been made an exemption to these new Syrian laws, we will put aside our concerns regarding these new laws. With that being said, I would like to commence our bilateral relations by beginning trade between our two nations. China is currently exporting the following: electrical equipment, machinery including computers, consumer goods, vehicles, and articles of iron and steel. In return, China would be interested in exporting the following from Syria: Coffee, tea, spices and Salt, sulfur, stone, and cement. It is also my belief that with Syria having only recently entered the global stage that your nation currently lacks a merchant fleet? If that is the case then Chinese merchant vessels will be able to haul both exports and imports flowing between both of our nations. Lastly, China would like to inquire on Syria's current government's outlook on the world. What is your government's stance on military expansion/interventions along with your current political stance? Kindest Regards, Tang Jiaxuan Minister of Foreign Affairs People's Republic of China |
