PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Albert Arnold Gore Jr.
Comparatively speaking, the President is an exceptionally powerful executive compared to the other nations of the Free World. He is both Head of State and Head of Government, as well as Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, chief diplomat, and top law enforcement official of the Federal Government. He is able to issue executive orders to the numerous departments and agencies with the apparatus of the Federal Government which, if lawful, must be followed. As the head of the Executive Branch, the President is held responsible for enforcing laws passed by Congress and upholding the Constitution. The President also appoints the heads of Federal Departments, agencies as well as federal judges and associate justices of the Supreme Court - all of which is done with the approval of the Senate.
"The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected..."
