PROJECTImport substitution industrialization Project
PROJECT COST10,000,000,000.00
COMPLETION DATE01/01/2021
PROJECT INFORMATIONImport substitution industrialization (ISI) is a trade and economic policy that advocates replacing foreign imports with domestic production. It is based on the premise that a country should attempt to reduce its foreign dependency through the local production of industrialized products.

ISI policies have been enacted by countries in the Global South with the intention of producing development and self-sufficiency by the creation of an internal market. The state leads economic development by nationalization, subsidization of vital industries (agriculture, power generation, etc.), increased taxation, and highly-protectionist trade policies.

As part of the new ISI Project, to significantly reduce the dependency from any foreign imports, the Argentine Republic would havily invest in new or less developed industries in Argentina, making use of the fact that the vastness and diversity of the country allows for the existence of many different resources to be exploited to fuel these new industries.

Some key strategic industries to be developed up to the point of self sufficiency would be:

- Energy sectors (in coordination with other existing projects) -Oil/Gas industry, hydro electric and nuclear power.
- Uranium explotation
- Rubber plantations and plastic industries
- Iron, copper, copper, gold, silver, and zinc extraction, processing.
- Other industrial minerals (limestone, clays, sand, gravel, diatomite, kaolin, bentonite, silica, barite, gypsum, potash, pumice, and talc)
- Steelworks
- Vehicle industry
- Electronics and microchips
- Pharmaceutical industry
- Chemicals
- Carbon and other fossil fuels
- Lithium
- Software industry
- Aerospace industry
- Food and beverages
- Packaging
- Agroindustry

The plan would include (but not be limited to):

- Tax and tariffs reductions for included sectors.
- Subsidies for the employment of staff
- Infrastructure projects
- Subsidies and scholarships for students and interns in the affected industries

With the completion of the plan, dependency on foreign goods would be limited to more luxury and non-essential goods, and in case of international trade disruption, the Argentine Republic would be capable of keeping the national economy working without major problems.
- Establishment of tariffs and taxes for imported goods
- Export facilitation, subsidies and state oriented marketing to increase international customers and provide additional income.
- Creation of new industrial parks

As part of an investigation by the Swedish National Security Office into the current economic health of Argentina, the transfer details to Russia would be intercepted without detection by either the sender, the recipient or any other party. The details of which would be held securely in a centralised database within the SNSO whereby, in line with the Document Classification and Security Act 1997, the grading of 'TOP SECRET' would be appended. This was possible due to the lack of encryption level on the project thus making the information publicly accessible.

This investigation is into alleged fraudulent activity in respect to ongoing economic projects conducted by the Argentine executive which claims to see a projected $27.7billion dollar investment in the state; this, when compared to publicly available statistics, shows a projected $20billion dollar shortfall. Hence the investigation.
