| PROJECT INFORMATION | The project involves the construction of an oil refinery with a capacity to process 120,000 barrels per day located at Awash town, 221km east of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The new facility will eventually have the capacity of refining 12 million metric tons of crude oil yearly and profit from a strategic location next to one of the busiest commercial waterways and the Middle East and its high daily barrel production. The construction of this new facility will create jobs and increase the nations capacity to process oil for internal use and for export. The latter will be the maing target, considering the nations has almost achieved compelte energetic independence through its hydroelectric powerplants. |
