PROJECT INFORMATION | The National Bureau of Investigation & Security Service (NBISS) (国家调查和安全局) is the chief intelligence agency of Taiwan. The agency was officially established in 1955, during the rule of President Chiang Kai Shek. The original duties of the NBISS are to supervise and coordinate both international and domestic intelligence activities and criminal investigation by all government intelligence agencies, including that of the military. The agency's broad powers allowed it to actively intervene in politics. The Intelligence Agency, although the exact size of it's employee and personnel remains CLASSIFIED, is expected to recruit around 5,000 to 10,000 employees.
