PROJECT INFORMATION | BTS Bangkok is growing in population and tourists, if there continues to be an ever-increasing increase in the amount of traffic on the road it generates a traffic jam more often. This Bangkok train station is a plan first launched in the early 1980s. The Lavalin Skytrain is an early version of the Skytrain project which is based on the Vancouver SkyTrain and is using the SNC-Lavalin technology. The First plan was canceled in June 1992 because of political interference. The structure of the Train runway is an elevated road (Viaduct) placed on a single post. Which is generally built on an island in the middle of the road This elevated walkway is approximately 9 meters wide and 12 meters high above the ground. It is a piece of pre-cast concrete (Segment) assembled one column at a time. (Span-by-Span) with a dry joint and fastened with high-tensile wire external (External Post-Tensioning) within the gap of the segment, the reason for choosing this construction system This is because the method is quick to install and avoids congested traffic in the city. Approx. 2 meters wide, with a distance of around 30 - 35 meters, is used to support the elevated concrete walkway. The BTS Skytrain from Mo Chit to On Nut, known as the Sukhumvit Line, and from National Stadium to Saphan Taksin, known as the Silom Line, will be built at the Bangkok Train Station. The train's top speed will be limited to 80 km/h, with a top speed of 90 km/h in an unusual scenario. The Sukhumvit Line will have a length of 31.72 kilometers(round-trip distance) and 18 stations. The length of the Silom Line will be 12.50(round-trip distance) kilometers, with seven stations. The total length will be 44.22 kilometers, with 25 stations. The landowner will provide and store for anyone to rent and start their business in each station. The construction cost will be to be $495 million. |
