Re-establishing Ties

Sitting in his office flanked by the flag of the Uzbek SSR and the old soviet flag. a 64 year old Islam Karimov had a long career as President of the Soviet but as the years wore, wearing down the formerly confident young man. with his mental strain related to dealing with inside instability, external politics nearly all uzbek neighbors hating the existence of the SSR, and a near complete lack of international support Uzbekistan is nearly completely isolated. Karimov sits at his desk writing a letter to a political friend when a Red Guardsmen (His personal bodyguard) entered the room.

"its nearly 3 at night are you ever going to sleep?" The Guardsmen speaks Stiffly

"You forget your place Muhammadali, I am busy writing letters to several friends" Karimov speaks almost dismissively to the guardsmen

"I have a family to return to, please sir can I go home?"

" *Sigh* fine you may return home, Leave your pistol with me I can defend myself"

"I'm going to tell Rustam (the second Guard at the door) about this" The guardsmen says as he places his MK PM Standard Pistol on Karimov's Desk "Have a good night sir"

"Good night" Karimov again's says dismissively

Karimov returns to his writing a letter to a former friend Qahhor Mahkamov

My friend Qahhor its been the longest time since the end of the union. Come to Tashkent. We have much to talk about...

Several weeks have passed with letters, communications and talks to several aging men of a dying union. the start of the Tashkent communication has begun. Islam Karimov; Current president of the Soviet, Leader of the Uzbek SSR, Qahhor Mahkamov; Former leader of the Tajik SSR, Saparmurat Niyazov; Former leader of the Turkestan SSR, Askar Akayev; former leader of Kyrgyzstan SSR, Sergey Tereshchenko; former leader of the Kazakh SSR. as these former leader of the soviet central asia arrive in Tashkent at the Kuksaroy Presidential Palace. The meeting is known as the

Central Asian Meeting of Soviet Restoration ( C.A.M.S.R )

The several men take seats at a long table with each of their names on a nameplate flanked by the flag of their corresponding former SSR. As they get settled in they begin a bit of small talk. Tereshchenko starts the discussion "sooooo... how do all of you feel being treated with a little bit of respect again?" Mahkamov Follows up with "Great! It is odd that Karimov would meet with us specifically. Considering we have almost no political representation" "True to that, It is almost like he is attempting to resurrect the Union!"

The men all laugh at the thought, Restoring the soviet union is a stupidly suicidal idea. Uzbekistan was lucky to even retain a communist government and even with the mildest policies Uzbekistan has been left almost entirely diplomatically isolated. The men all begin to enjoy themselves in the festivities. Talking to each other as if they were former work friends. but as the festivities continue one man is missing Islam Karimov. Karimov is in his room preparing himself for the coming hours of arguments and fighting.

"Karimov? KARIMOV! Hurry up! all of the men are here!" Barks Muhammadali.

"Muhammadali kindly be quiet you of all people should know how dangerous this meeting will be" Says Karimov " I must be prepared for everything"

Muhammadali Responds " Yes but if you take to long they will be passed out by the time you are prepared"

Karimov sighs "I guess I am prepared enough, Thank you Muhammadali"

Karimov steps out into the meeting room floor "Gentlemen! welcome to Tash-"

Niyazov Interjects "Karimov! your finally here!"

"Yes I am now please take your seat we have much to discuss regarding the future of central asia"

" ... fucking hardass" Whispers Niyazov

The men take a seat the meeting can finally begin.

it was about 7:30 by the time the meeting had begun Karimov first started with basic requests; Kyrgyzstan SSR and Tajik SSR drop their claim the regions of Namangan, Ferghana, and Andijon, (The Movement Passes) and all the SSR's Individually will not have local armies only police forces to ensure soviet control ( Also Passes ). The last request raised a couple of eyebrows at its wording.

During a break in the middle of the meeting:

"I'm thinking Karivov has had a bit to much to drink"
"What do you mean?"
"Well hes acting almost as if the Soviet Union is not dead!"
"Now that you mention that, I have noticed that"
"Not only that but he is acting as if; one, that we are in control of the SSR's and two, that the SSR's are in control of their respective states!"

The meeting continues...

With the first few requests being passed with little resistance Karimov was feeling empowered to the next requests.

The Central Asian SSR's economy will be integrated with the Uzbek SSR's Economy (Passed)
Each SSR will be invested into to improve each nations infrastructure at a minimum 1 Billion dollars ( Passed )

Finally, Niyazov Speaks up

"Alright Karimov, What is your deal?"
"Whatever do you mean?"
"are you on drugs? Hallucinogens? Or are you just delusional?"
"What?!"
"Karimov, why are you acting as if the USSR is not dead"
"Yeah! not only that but you act like we are in control of the SSR's!"
"What do you think the point of this meeting is?"
"To waste out ti..."
"No, do you ever miss the good old days?"
"Of course but that does not matter if IT DOES NOT EXIST"
"But we can make it exist once again!"
"What does that mean?"
"My last proposition is..."

Each representative that is at this meeting of the SSR's Are to be Re-appointed as head of their respective SSR if in exchange Islam Karimov is Recognized as the New Presidentum of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

The room went quiet

"Excuse me?"
"You heard me"
"I did I want you to repeat that"
"Your insa..."
"Okay Niyazov, Karimov why do you want to do this?
"Well, for too long Central Asia has been overlooked and ignored it is time we end this!"
"And why would this help?"
"The USSR name commands respect and dignity"
"Karimov I don't think that this is a good idea"
"Don't you want to lead your SSR again? Have Power?"
"Do you think this can be Achieved?"
"I do, With your support that is"
"... *Sigh* May as well, We already are outcasts in our own country"
" I will back you as well, You better be right about this Karimov"
"Niyazov?"
"..."
"Come on, I know you want to be in control of Turkestan once again"
"..."
