SITUATION IN RUSSIA
Reports have been coming in from Russia regarding protests and demonstrations erupting. The President is still in Moscow and was about to leave. His current situation is unknown. The European financial crisis luckily hasnt hit Yugoslavia as hard, however the consequences of the crisis will soon effect the republic.
Outside the Presidential Palace, several reporters have gathered to get a statement from the office of the Presidency. Spokesperson Ivanovic said "I would like to ensure the people of Yugoslavia not to panic. We are taking measures to mitigate the affects of the financial crisis - you will be made aware of such measures soon enough. Right now our priority is the safety of our great President who representing us abroad in Moscow. There is no need to worry and hopefully the President shall return soon. The Economic and Trade councils will be meeting to discuss the effects of the financial crisis and how to safeguard our people."
The National Security Council of the Federal Assembly has called an emergency session. The League of Communists in Belgrade has also called in an emergency meeting.
