After several months of intense political squabbling and threats of a civil war, President Marcus Maxim has been inaugurated as the executive leader of the newly formed "People's Republic of Pretoria". Previous Judicial and Legislative capitals of both Cape Town and Bloemfontein have been dissolved, and moved to Pretoria for a more efficient and manageable governmental system. Previous Senators have been removed from office, and new elections are to be held to remove political corruption and unite the country under one solid foundation, all to be overseen by Marcus Maxim. Furthermore, it has been decided that elections shall be held every 8 years, in order to allow uniform decision making without the need to rush projects before the end of a President's term.
Finally, the country has been projected to go under a large sphere of change, as industrial, commercial and residential areas of the public sector are to be funded and upgraded heavily, as planned by the President for, as he has stated, "A stronger South Africa" to be created. Military funding has also been increased, with strong incentives placed to modernise the military in order to catch up with the rest of the world and strengthen the Republic.
Globally, the People's Republic of Pretoria is open to all diplomatic discussions, and Marcus Maxim has stated he would be "glad to make new friends and open trade deals" with foreign powers.
Ave Pretoria!
