With the visit of the Swedish Prime Minister being confirmed, the Prime Minister's office made the necessary arrangements and passed all the information onto the relevant departments across the government. The police would deploy across the route from Getafe Air Force Base to the Palace of Moncloa and a motorcade consisting of an armoured luxury limousine, various police vehicles, police bikes and police vans to carry any extra Swedish delegates waited at Getafe Air Force Base. All officers carried a loaded Glock 17 pistol but a rapid response team was on standby if anything kicked off.

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Assistant to the Prime Minister Carmen Dahl and Senior Home Affairs Advisor Manfred Johansson board a commercial flight from Stockholm to Madrid. A notification is sent to the Spanish informing them of the Prime Ministers departure and via encrypted channels the relevant aircraft information would be passed - the majority of this aircraft has been booked for the Swedish delegation however there are civilians onboard.

Upon arrival in Madrid the delegation, especially the Prime Minister would greet and shake hands with the public services for the benefit of the media before swiftly entering the limousine and slamming the door behind him.
