Recipient: Cecilia Julin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Kingdom of Spain On behalf of the government of the Kingdom of Spain, I am writing this email to you to establish relations between our two nations as the previous meeting between our two countries fell apart due to the collapse of the previous government. The Central Protection Unit of the National Police Corps would dispatch two vehicles to the Swedish Embassy, an unmarked Peugeot and an unmarked Renault, one for the Ambassador and the other for any staff or security which would be coming with the Swedish Ambassador. Both drivers would be carrying their standard issued Heckler & Koch USP which was loaded. Information was passed onto the staff at the Swedish Embassy for the trip across Madrid.

Cecilia Julin would travel alone to the host of the meeting, in hand would be a number of documents stamped 'SECURE' and very clearly marked as property of the Kingdom of Sweden namely the Department for Foreign Affairs. Alongside her documentation she would hold a small paper coffee cup holding a Chai Latte.

The two cars would arrive at the Santa Cruz Palace, a junior staffer would greet the Swedish Ambassador and would usher them through security, a singular agent manning the desk would see the classified folders in the ambassadors hand and ushered them through, the staffer would guide the Ambassador to the Minister of Foreign Affairs office before closing the door behind the Ambassador leaving the two diplomats in the room alone.

"Hello Ambassador, firstly, can I get you any food or drink?"

The Ambassador strides into the room wearing a professional black blazer and white shirt with a complimenting pencil skirt, to accessorise she displays a Swedish blue cravat on her blouse. She smiles to the staffer allowing her through and represents Sweden's courtesy and professionalism throughout her time at the meeting.

"Please, call me Cecilia, I would lover a water if you could please? It's rather warm today."

The Minister smiles, ordering some water from the kitchen through the speaker set on his desk. The same staffer which escorted the Ambassador to the meeting elegently made her way back into the room as she set down two glasses of water on the table and a jug to top off, she made her way out of the room and closed the door behind her.

"Well, thank you for being here today. I was going to start with something different but it seems there has been some developments since you arrived. Ireland. From my understanding, your embassy was closed down by the Irish Government? You're not the only one, ours was closed down too. How has your government responding to this?"

Cecilia drops her phone onto the desk, flicking the hair from her face and glancing towards the Minister

"The pleasure is all my Minister, thank you for having me. I've just been made aware of the Irish situation and briefed by the Department for Foreign Affairs in Sweden, distressing does not even begin to cover it. We have received an order to cease our diplomatic mission in Ireland and we have responded with a 14 day closure period, as we have done previously, 42 hours is not long enough to ensure foreign nationals safely and legally get the support they need whilst abroad - fortunately Canada appears to be cooperating fully with our sudden removal from the country and providing consular services to Swedish nationals... I am fearful we have another out-of-control government however this time inside Europe, they've made it very clear that they have a 'disagree and we will fight' attitude towards any country that dares to threaten their political agenda."

"Yes, it's quite distressing to see what has gone on. They closed down our embassy and we have had our staff redeployed to other missions across Europe. They have also announced support for Catalan separatists to launch attacks on the Spanish Government so yes, the comment about another out of control country is true."

"I see, my goodness, that's quite an escalation - should I be concerned about this Catalan situation?"
