His Esteemed honorable President of the Republic of Spain,

On behalf of the Republic of Korea, his Excellency the President, and the powers vested into the State, I thank you for your correspondence. The Republic of Korea is eager to establish strong relations with our partners in Europe and Spain represents a strong principled partner for Korea to engage with. I shall work towards this endeavor with all my strength and thank you for your support as Foreign Minister. It is equally the hope of President Kim for our two republics to grow closer and usher a new era of cross-continental prosperity and friendship. The President is most eager to receive an official ambassador from the Republic of Spain and we hope you will accept in return the accreditation's of our Ambassador to the Republic of Spain Ambassador Bahk Sahng-hoon who leads the Korean Mission in Madrid. His Excellency the President of the Republic of Korea extends in a warm fashion manner an invitation to the Republic of Korea. The Korean people are eager to host you and hope you shall accept our invitation to Seoul at an agreed timeline. The details of which can be addressed through our soon to be accredited Ambassador in Madrid, Ambassador Bahk, who can coordinate with the Foreign Ministry the necessary factors and conditions.

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Korea, Kim Daejung

Dear my colleague, His Excellency the Honorable President of Spain
“In 1980, I was sentenced to death by the military regime. For six months in prison, I awaited the execution day. Often, I shuddered with fear of death. But I would find calm in the fact of history that justice ultimately prevails. I am will continue to seek the triumph of justice wherever I may. Our shared history of occupation, injustice, military government, and oppression reminds me the firm need to combat the fantasizing of autocracies and remind the undisputed liberating values of liberty, justice, and equality. I look forward to taking this step together, and look forward to a strong union of ideals, beliefs, values, and of greater purpose."

Signed with the warmest sincerity,
The Honorable Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea on behalf of the President of the Republic of Korea

His Esteemed honorable President of the Republic of Spain,

We look forward to this relationship to develop a beacon for all nations to aspire and develop towards. We look forward to see Spain's leadership in guiding our nations closer together, as the Korean people are eager to develop closer ties with the Spanish people, beyond politics. His Excellency the President is unavailable for the remainder of this week. He will be available on Sunday if the Ambassador wishes to have a full session with the President. He may, if able for a quick meeting, visit the President on Thursday. If this is not a mutually agreeable timeframe, it is possible for our Ambassador in Madrid to meet with you instead at your earliest convenience.

Best regards,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs

I believe that would be the best scenario then, I shall wait my most esteemed guest to Madrid to meet with me when he is able, even if a quick visit it will serve to lay the ground work for our relationship to bloom. Protection and a VIP Convoy will be provided by the Spanish Civil Guard, President Kim Daejung will be escorted with my own presidential convoy. I will personnel be there in the Airport to welcome him to Spain. If South Korea also can provide their own security, I'm sure the Civil Guard will work in cooperation with your agents.

Kind Regards,
President of the Republic of Spain

"Hello Mr. Baek , hopefully you are doing good at this time of day. However I need to speak to you urgently, as both our nations are very involved in the new Resolution regarding Russia. It as come to our attention that Russia is devolving pretty rapidly into chaos, and after seeing the news and my own advisers, it is especially worrying, seeing a new communist leader speaking in the streets of Moscow. I'd like to ask what is your opinion on this, and how could the Republic of Spain and South Korea find ways to prevent something more dangerous to happen."

Baek Jeonghee: "Thank you for the call Secretary, I am fine thank you. This situation is concerning...the President has just been informed and we're discussing contingencies...unfortunately we're more worried about what the Union would do to North Korea and influencing them to attack the South. We're beginning to plan air surveillance operations against the North in the coming hours to see if any movement or unplanned actions are taken. However, this situation is clearly not acceptable to Seoul and we will be assisting the global communities efforts to curtail and cut it off."

"That is concerning, indeed it is, this all stemed from Russia overspending on their military, and now the country is on the brink of collapse. Regarding that issue, with North Korea, perhaps having foreign forces stationed in South Korea could provide you with a vital key point if tensions with North Korea escalate. We could provide you with more training, more security, and a greater global cooperation, having a small contingency Spanish Force in South Korea could prove vital in helping your forces secure your nation in the eventuality of an attack by the North , and with time this could grow into other fields such as Navy and Air Force, air space defences, etc." He would pause.

"Now back on the Russian matter. You know you have our support in the GA, as we feel like we have reached a point in our relationship as nations, were Spain and South Korea and trust in each other, our current strategy if the worse should happen, such as the Soviet Union returning is economic sanctions and containment. We do not want a repeat of the Iron Wall, especially with those images still present today. Now as for the economic side, if the soviet union doesn't rise, I believe doing what was proposed in the GA is the best scenario we can do. However it is still a gigantic ammount of debt t o chip away."

Baek Jeonghee: "The recent fire-sale of Russian assets is an indicator things are not going too well. We think that helping Russia is the priority. If we can help Russia we can avoid the return of the Soviet Union. With regards to the Korean Peninsula, at this stage we do not have any reason to bring foreign troops onto the Peninsula, which may serve as a pre-text for the North Koreans to respond or allow the Soviets if they fully take over to enter North Korea. However, I believe we should agree on a contingency plan for an attack on Korea.

We hope the GA resolution will pass quickly, but also that Russian authorities take quick and decisive action. If not, the Soviet-backed mobs will continue to grow and seize power. If the Soviet Union returns, I believe we will require a great bigger deal than economic sanctions, especially with containment. I hope that at the very least, this reminds us in the Democratic world the fragility of emerging democracies and the need to support them. I am worried just if we agree to the GA resolution and it is too late, however, if the Soviet Union returns...I believe we must have a very frank discussion amongst the Nordic Union, United Kingdoms, Spain, Korea, and the United States about how to deal with this possibly unknown threat. Certainly Ukraine, Sweden, Finland will be targeted by the regime for domestic purposes, but, we must be prepared."

"Uhm could you give me a second?" He would say with a nervous tone in the voice. "Well, something just... just happen here. I'm currently in the Moscow Hotel and I was hopefull that protests might not come here. Spetnaz are inside the Hotel, and are evacuating us. I'll have to end this call, I profusely apologize Mr. Baek."

Before the Foreign Minister could've responded, the line would be cut, worrying the Minister. She would send a cable to Seoul informing them of the situation, it would appear that Moscow Hotel had been under siege by communists and with it, the diplomats of multiple western countries under siege. The Foreign Minister would take this as a warning, and begin calling the Ambassador in Ukraine to arrange the exfiltration of Korea's diplomats across Russia and its citizens...as the situation appeared to rapidly deteriorate.

The President of Spain would phone the President of South Korea on a urgent line, the line would be encrypted and private, to the highest level possible, he would be nervous about the situation in Russia, especially with his friend, the secretary of state, measures were being taken to ensure his safety, however time was of the essences. He would patiently wait, he wanted to speak with the South Korea President, knowing that their citizens were also affected. After this he would contact Britain and then.. Russia.

"Hello Mrs. President, I'm calling regarding the situation in Russia, I know that the Secretary was speaking to you when it all happen?"

To the Spanish Chief of Defense,

H.E. The President was informed of the situation in Moscow regarding your Secretary of State. Our Foreign Minister was on the phone with H.E. the Secretary of State before the line was cut due to safety concerns over the Secretary's wellbeing. Firstly, the Republic of Korea wishes to reassure Spain we stand firmly behind them and the action required to bring about a peaceful, safe, and timely return of all diplomats currently under siege in Moscow Hotel. Secondly, the Special Operations Command Korea would like to acquire Spain's assistance in the preparations to dispatch Special Operators to Madrid to assist in the recovery and exfiltration of Korean nationals in Russia with Spanish assistance. Our lack of range and limited air transports with extended range hampers our ability to independently launch an operation, and we hope we can reassure the globe through multilateral action that showcases global resolve and capacity.

If this is acceptable to the Spanish Government, we will share the relevant plans we are currently working on here at the Ministry.
Signed with sincerity,
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
