A telephone call is made from by the General Director of the Defence Materiel Administration, Göran Mårtensson, he waits whilst he sits in a queue for an available customer service agent. Each time the dialling tone rang around to the same pre-recorded voice reminding him he was in a queue he would begin to introduce himself, before quickly realising and cutting his words half way through.

Göran glares down at a piece of paper on-which he has written "#0036/SS" as he holds in anticipation.

An Automated Message wound sound every 60 Seconds that the General Director was waiting - - - "I’m sorry, but all of our operatives are busy at present. You are in a queue. Please hold, your call will be answered shortly"
Göran would be on hold for at least 15 more minutes at a cost of 0/55p per minute, the standard rate. It was proving to be an exceptionally busy morning in the office.

"Good Morning. Sparrow Industries, Diederik speaking. How may I assist you?"

Göran signs, the repeating message slowly becoming fixated in his mind to the point where he mimes the words each and every time it repeats, although with a somewhat sarcastic facial expression each time.

"Hello Diederik, my name is Göran Mårtensson - I'd like to speak to someone regarding my order please? I have a reference number of zero-zero-three-six slash ess-ess."

"One moment, Please" On his Gateway Performance 1500 Computer, Diederik opened up the Microsoft office Spreadsheet that the Business used to keep track of sales. After finding the relevant order details, he resumed the call with Mårtensson.

"The Pending status on your order was updated Friday 15th June. We're waiting on a Payment from the Swedish Authorities in the sum of $326,196,000.00. I'm not sure why our Systems didn't notify you of these changes, but I will carry out an investigation as a matter of urgency. Please accept my sincere apologies and thank you for your patience. As compensation, we're gifting a 15% Discount to be used on any, and all future sales until the 01st July. I hope you find this adequate."

"Ah that's brilliant, I will speak to my financing department and have the appropriate funds sent over immediately. Thank you very much for your help. I am most grateful for the 15% discount, is there any promotional code I need to reference upon checkout or will your systems automatically recognise the offer?"

 

[Hollie]

"Fortunately, our Systems will recognize you and automatically apply the Discount on receipt of your order... And I can see that Sparrow Industries has received your Payment and the order is being processed as we speak. Would there be anything else you require?"

"Excellent, I look forward to our future business, thank you for your time."

The line then ends following the completion of the call.
