Government of Sweden
Löfven Administration

Security Classification: TOP SECRET
Document Classification and Security Act 2013
Encrypted by the Swedish Security Service

A video conference call is hosted between the Swedish Department of Defence and the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.
Secretary of Defence Peter Hultqvist appears seated before a wood-panelled wall clearly displaying the Swedish Coat of Arms alongside a Swedish flag draped neatly over a brass-finished flag pole.

The call is encrypted by the Swedish Security Service and upon answering the call an automated message is played to the Norwegian counterparts:
"YOU ARE NOW BEING CONNECTED TO THE SWEDISH DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE. THIS CALL IS LABELLED WITH THE SECURITY CLASSIFICATION TOP SECRET. PLEASE ENSURE APPROPRIATE USE OF ENCRYPTION SOFTWARE IS IN USE. THANK YOU."
Local monitoring software will not connect the call until appropriate security protocols are in place with the call receiver.

Prince Ingvar, who was Minister of Defense and approximately three-quarters of a century old, felt a rush of panic brush over him when he heard that he had to set up a "video conference" with the Swedish Minister of Defense. Ingvar had never been in a video conference before. Luckily, Foreign Minister Jakob Vinter, who was a knowledgeable young man, was at Akershus Fortress at the time and was able to lend him a hand. The video call they set up was encrypted and private so that it was only between Ingvar and the Swedish Minister of Defense. Jakob Vinter was also in the room, but was out of view of the camera.

Ingvar sat before his desk and stroked his long white beard with one of his hands while he waited for the call to connect. Beside him was the war ensign of Norway. "Hello?" he asked after a few minutes of waiting.

Secretary of Defence Peter Hultqvist smiles into the lens of the camera, the face of Prince Ingvar is blasted across a large screen out-of-view from the audience - the call content is not monitored by any persons outside the room however the Swedish Security Service manage the packet traffic and the encryption levels throughout the call, any technical issues are controlled alongside audio, lighting and visual necessities.

The call is connected once the third-party encryption is received and picture is enabled at the Norwegian end.

"Good morning! You'll have to forgive me for the formalities as I don't believe we've yet met face-to-face... although over the internet. My name is Peter Hultqvist, I'm the Secretary of Defence in Sweden, the pleasure is all mine."

"It's very nice to... virtually meet you, Minister Hultqvist. I am Prince Ingvar, Minister of Defense and acting Chief of Defense of Norway. I've heard about the protests in Stockholm," he said. "I hope everything is alright where you are?" he asked genuinely.

Peter smiles, darting his eyes around the room briefly before responding "Fortunately the issues in Stockholm haven't reached my office yet, if it had I would be worried..." he jokes before going on "in all seriousness the public have a right to know where their money is going to and that their money is being spent in the right places... Sweden has become an incredible country over the last year or so since the establishment of this administration, but portraying this fact to the population is a difficult task, honestly."

"As far as I know the local police are managing the situation and there are attempts to establish the general consensus nation-wide"
