Subject:	Diplomatic and Trade Relations

Dear Minister Henriques,

It is with great pleasure that I open official diplomatic communications between our two nation states. I would like to take this opportunity to establish and further enhance our diplomatic relations and enhance our economic cooperation.

I shall start of by proposing the formal establishment of permanent diplomatic missions to between our respective governments; I would like to invite your ministry to open an embassy in Dar Es Salaam, and request for ourselves to open an embassy in Lisbon. As well as this, I would also like to discuss the topic of trade and wider economic cooperation.

To expand on the above, we would like to request if it is possible for us to purchase numerous cargo vessels, to be specific, 11 Furnas General Cargo Vessels. This will be a significant contribution to Tanzania's economic prosperity within the coming year.

I hope you are as optimistic about our shared future as we are. I shall look forward to your reply.
