==============================================

During the western colonial era, Thailand lost its territory in Laos and the right bank of the Mekong to the French for over 97 years. This defeat has resulted in Thailand's loss of influence in Southeast Asia, and the humiliation has caused Thailand to this day. During World War II, Thailand served as a buffer between the two European power. When the colonial age faded, Thailand faced political turbulence from those seeking to usurp power. It forced Thailand to fall under the influence of new Western power, such as America. Thailand has evolved into a country yearning for democracy, and it has backed military action by Western countries. But, in the end, the homeland was still surrounded by ideological foes. Laos, Cambodia, and (in the past) Vietnam have repeatedly invaded Thailand's border due to various communist ideologies. The Burmese coup leader, who has always had a negative attitude toward Thailand, has demonstrated that the neighboring countries threaten Thailand. Even Malaysia wanted to claim Pattani and the other areas as their own. The military has lost its ability to fight back on the frontiers, Thailand's elected government has always remained neutral to avoid defeat. Whatever the case may be, the Thai Armed Forces aspires for a method to preserve the country's sovereignty and reclaim its previous glory. On April 1, the General of the Royal Thai Army, Admiral of the Fleet of the Royal Thai Navy, and Air Marshal of the Royal Thai Air Force met formally with the Second Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Thailand. They and 20 delegates reported on the military action plans planned for more than a year and persuaded them to approve this plan. After more than three hours of meetings, Prime Minister Thaksin promptly called for an urgent, secret parliamentary meeting the following day. He discussed the matters that had taken place and had the members of the House of Representatives debate. The MP gathered their information and slept in the same area for three days and seven hours. Many in the House of Representatives were opposed to war but eventually came around. Is to ensure Thailand's influence in this region. The Prime Minister has been granted supreme powers in an invasion of Laos and Cambodia by Parliament, but the details of the paper are kept secret. Because most of the funding has been approved for infrastructure projects, the military operation has limited resources. This disadvantage necessitated meticulous planning on the military to ensure triumph in a single strike. The cultural similarity between Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia heavily influenced the Operation name. The word Dutdang mean as, or like
[TH]Operation Background[/TH]

The top generals agreed with the prime minister that the only way to win was to invade Laos with superior and faster troops. The Royal Thai Army will charge into Laos at full speed, capturing the capital as soon as possible, so other leaders may sign an agreement under Thai regulations before turning their spearhead onto Cambodia. The Thai Army and Air Force will strike Laos simultaneously in a combined arms movement. The Lao capital lies close to the Thai border, making it easier to conquer, but the Mekong River presents challenges. They will immediately assault all of Laos' plains, preventing the leaders from fleeing to the hilly parts, and then continue south to Cambodia with their reinforcements. The navy will intervene to close Cambodia's seas to prevent the flow of supplies into the nation once the army defeats Laos. To induce terror, they will launch missiles into Cambodia's military fields. The generals and prime ministers have stressed that this invasion must cause minimal damage to citizens. All personnel involved are well taken care of and have prepared for the upcoming missions. They were given enough rest and caring that any humanist would be proud of supervisor. Every armament that Thailand has (Refer to Wikipedia) is given to soldiers according to their duty. Every piece of equipment has been carefully checked to be fully functional and has been loaded with armament, fuel, and everything else needed. The Operation deploys the entire Armed Forces of Thailand

  • 23rd April 2000: The Army, Navy, and Air Force, combined into the armed forces, have started their military preparation and buildup the strength to deliver a well-planned attack toward the enemy.
  • 25th April 2000: The NIA has deployed twenty secret agents to infiltrate Laos. All the personnel in the agency will be active.
  • 15th May 2000: Thailand officially declared war on Laos and launched the offensive immediately. The military launched a full-scale invasion of the Champasak, the Vientiane Prefecture, and the Sainyabuli Campaign
  • 19th May 2000: The Sainyabuli Campaign resulted in the strategic triumph of the Thai Military. The Province of Sainyabuli is under the control of Thailand
  • 25th May 2000: The Champasak Campaign, the Sekong Campaign, the Attapeu Campaign, and the Bolikhamsai Campaign resulted in a victorious victory. The four provinces are now under Thai control
  • 1st June 2000: The Salavan Campaign resulted in Thai victory. The province is now under Thai control. The Thai Prime Minister agree on a ceasefire with the Lao General Secretary to prepare for the peace negotiation.
  • 2nd June 2000: The Republic of Thailand and The Lao People's Democratic Republic leaders' met at the Thai Government House to attend a peace negotiation. The talk failed, and the leaders agreed on a recess before arranging the next meeting.
  • 11th June 2000: Thailand has reached three milestones today. Half of Laos is under Thai control, the number of participating soldiers in the war has doubled from two hundred thousand to four hundred thousand, and they have established the command control center in most cities they occupied.
  • 25 August 2000: The Thai Prime Minister and the Lao General Secretary attended a second peace negotiation at Thai Government House Bangkok, which resulted in a successful talk. Thailand and Laos have returned to the status quo.
  • 9th November 2000: At 14:00, after a standoff involving Thai and Cambodian troops, the Cambodian force successfully overran the Thai position with artillery support. The same day at 20:00, an airstrike from Thailand severely damaged the Cambodian's strength and the area around them.

The Prime Minister approved the reconquest of Laos and Cambodia on April 23, 2000. The government and military personnel spread the knowledge exhaustive and fast to their relatives. Since the authorization, every public servant and the military officer has acknowledged the impending war. This word of mouth spread to civilians, causing deep security concerns in a country where actual conflict hasn't occurred in more than fifty years since World War 2. The public's understanding of military operations and warfare is growing because understanding the cost of so-called modern warfare entails the unimaginable destruction of humanity with a technologically advanced weapon. It's what they've turned into their fictitious experts, and the fact that the Thai Armed Forces strengthen is at an all-time high is also terrifying. The Defence Ministry has spent much money on the armed forces and police to ensure that power will project through military might. The enemy will get terrified by the competence of a well-trained and modern army ready to invade faster than a blitzkrieg story. The commander and soldiers will fight this war using a decisive geographic strategy and the electronic warfare asset. It's a competition to see who knows the most on the field. This operation will deploy the entire armed forces meaning that more than 200,000 personnel will participate from just one side. The military has been planning this invasion for more than a year and frequently maintenance the equipment condition as factory standard. They are ready since before they change the year on their calendar. The army, navy, and air force will change their deployment to fit the operation plan. The deployment will include every military unit listed in the Royal Thai Armed Forces document, meaning any new personnel will also partake in this conflict. The logistic personnel from the Command support unit will respond to all the requests. The government has received permission to use the area for military building, where the country will subsidize the owner and local loss. The Service Support Regiment of each division will transport the personnel from their base to the deploy position. They will provide maintenance, transportation, and extra medical service.

The detailed map shows the invasion plan of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd armies.

Laos - The Army buildup
The First Army will invade Chong Mek Border and Chong Ou Relife Point into Laos. They will split into two formations to push all the personnel and vehicle into the urban road before arriving in Laos with vast open fields to assault. The first, second, and ninth Infantry Division, made of 42,023 personnel and 1,736 equipment, will encamp at the Chong Mek subdistrict at 15.084045, 105.486505. The First Army Command Unit will undertake the logistic transportation for the construction material and supplies for the war.The Second Army will cover the frontline of border province from Loei to Nakhon Phanom, although they will only invade from Loei and Nong Khai (The map isn't telling their actual location). They will encamp around the border of Vientiane because there is an only bridge available. They will construct the campsite as least noticeable as possible. The logistic team will also transport all 250 M10 Riverine Patrol Boat from the Maritime Patrolling. The Marine personnel there will have to hold. The Third Infantry Division will encamp at 17.903719274072987, 102.53029512893697, the Sixth Infantry Division at 17.805934874436304, 102.5061279392303, the Third Cavalry Division at 17.8074368187316, 102.73246687667681, and the eighth Infantry Division at 17.735391172607944, 102.69291287631634. The Second Army Command Unit will undertake the logistic transportation for the construction material and supplies for the war.]The Third Army, made of 34,724 personnel and 1,177 equipment, will encamp around the area at 18.11504927429849 101.10540084177181. They will construct campsites ready to supply accommodation for everyone and things (as also applied to other armies.). They will be on the hill, and it will take time before they finish. The image shows the Fourth Army offensive plan

The Fourth Army had experienced a hard time finding available local places for their campsite. After some weeks of digging deep into the inhabitant farm owner in Trat, they finally have a campsite. It used to be an Off-season Lowland rice farm, and now it will be a temporal military camp (At 12.18909204741979, 102.65967239581829 and 12.20260619249407, 102.65798535224869). The military buildup at Trat is early preparation for the continuous campaign from Laos. They will not invade before the right time of the plan and will keep their profile low. The Fourth Army Command Unit will undertake the logistic transportation for the construction material and supplies for the war.

Thaksin Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, is the head of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA)organization responsible for gathering intelligence for national security and the effort for the war. There is a conflict in including Thailand. They have to intervene to provide the information from inside the enemy homeland by infiltrating. The NIA has trained 20 secret agents ready for discreetly entering the country of Laos as ordinary citizens of Thailand. The agent will use Hyundai Tucson to enter Laos through Boundary Post with Passport, Thai National ID Card, double two inches photos for everyone. An International Transport Permit, Third Party Insurance(Buy at Laos custom), and English Driving License for all drivers. The government agencies have issued the requested official document for all to use to pass the boundary post, but they will use their ID card and driving license. The secret agents are already regular people in Thailand and working days with specialized training. They are professional in their field specified in their job requirement in the NIA documents. The papers that they acquire from the government will particularize their purpose for traveling for thirty days. The government has issued the document will a different date to conform with their background and trustworthiness. The agent is an ordinary person in Thailand with a real identity and legally entering the country. They will have what every person needs to travel to another country. They will travel to Hyundai Tucson, which has five people inside it. A Red one will travel to the Thai Uttaradit Boundary Post, two White ones to the NongKhai Custom Boundary Post, and a black one to Chong Mek Customs House. The three carloads full of Thai citizens are quickly passed over and allowed to pass at the Uttaradit Boundary Post and the NongKhai Custom Boundary Post. With the security on the Cambodian side having seen the Thai pass the citizens and having full trust in their longtime national neighbors, the cars would be allowed to pass without any checks or searches. The Chong Mek Customs House however stopped the black car, a number of border agents looking in through the windows at the five men piled into the SUV. The smallest of them all, a stout Laotian man wearing a formal military uniform with a prominent cap, would wait for the driver to lower the car window.

"Hello, sirs. Where are you going today, and what is your business here in Laos?"

Standing behind him was a colossal border agent, maybe seven feet tall, holding an assault rifle. Four other officers stood around the car also armed with rifles. The short man in uniform had no rifle but did have a visible sidearm. He waited impatiently for the driver to answer, his hands resting on the open window.

The Army

Most army personnel have arrived at the new military outpost campsite with supplies and resources for building and living. The trucks have delivered soldiers to their destinations and occasionally drive around the area by the officer's command. The soldier and the construction crew are clearing the place to make it suitable for the encampment in the mucky, overgrown area. A few locals come to watch, and the landowner volunteers to assist with the work and locate a suitable parking area for the military vehicles. The campsite has to span tens of acres to fit the number of soldiers and equipment. Each division's Reconnaissance (and patrol) battalion would use their equipment to explore the area around the campsite, the border crossing points, and the route to the offensive line from their base. They will also conduct long-range reconnaissance of Laos territory with Elbit Hermes 450 and IAI Searcher 2 UAV flying at 5,000 meters and 130 kilometers per hour into a radius of 40 kilometers from their base, sending back all data. They will maintain a low profile by keeping the same attitude and frequently return after reaching the mission reconnaissance range at full speed. The Service Support Regiment's maintenance battalion will inspect and repair all equipment, from small arms to military vehicles. Each unit's military personnel will participate in an exercise and then relax with their comrades and officers to have fun, maintain morale, and prepare for the plan.

The Navy

The marine corps of the navy have started their preparation of the amphibious invasion to Cambodian soil by splitting into two groups that will find themselves on the same route toward the same shore. The 2nd Marine Regiment, Assault Amphibian Vehicle Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Tank Battalion, Anti-Tank Company, and Combat Engineer Battalion, with 3,250 personnel and 194 equipment, will use 100 Mannok-Class landing ships to perform an invasion. The LCU operator in each naval base will transport the landing ship by land and sea transportation to the Sattahip naval base. The 1st Marine Regiment (650), the 3rd Marine Regiment, Service Support Regiment, Reconnaissance Battalion, Signal Battalion, and Military Police Company, with 3,850 marines, will encamp around Trat naval base to prepare for the invasion support and wait for the equipment.

The Air Force

Each aircraft's pilot had arrived at the new airbases. The paratroopers had got deployed in Don Meuang and were ready for any mission lying ahead of them. The Air Force will provide each squadron with its personnel and fighters for the upcoming battle. The maintenance service's ground crew will inspect and repair the aircraft regularly. The paratroopers will get some practice dropping from the plane. They are experienced pilots who will quickly adapt to the actual mission during a war.

The Action

At the Chong Mek Customs House, the driver of the black SUV would open the window on his side(right) to speak with the border agent. The others in the car would act a little excited about passing the border while secretly looking around to observe. The male driver would respond in a friendly tone. He then realizes that it would be best if he could bring the military officer over to his side, as he sees him as a valuable opportunity. He would speak Thai with Essan and a bit of Laos vocals. The border agent will understand the language if he is a Lao.

"We've arrived and are on our way. We will stay for thirty days, as stated in the papers. We're going to Pakse, and we'll go for a walk around town like we always do. Then we'll drive to Tad Fane Waterfall and another nearby. We'd also like to go to Oum Moung. Also, if you have any questions about our car, this is the document to look at." He would hand over the International Transport Permit with the T text and the English driving license. He would also chat with the border agent. "Is it necessary to tighten the border crossing measures? I've never seen so many Laotian military personnel in one place." He wants to ask since the security level has been falling to standard exercise lately. He would thank the officer when they let him continue the journey.

As the Thai drones buzzed out over the city of Vientiane, alarms whirred and airbase personnel in the city rushed out to their positions. The S-125 Neva's radar had picked up at least six small aircraft. The aircraft was just over the city, flying at a relatively low altitude. It was considered that it may be a civilian helicopter but the signature was far too small. The commander of the station radioed into the airport's air traffic control.

"Do we have any aircraft in the air, Tower? We're detecting six at low altitude... maybe helicopters or private aircraft. Can we get confirmation?"

ATC scoured local reports from airfields and airports, including contacting the civilian Udon Thani International Airport in Thailand. After all airports had reported negative on aircraft matching the granted description, about twenty minutes, the radars reported that the aircraft had circled back. ATC reported back with a negative, and the Neva crews trained their tracking radars onto the drones. After a final confirmation check, when the drones reached their nearest point to the airport, the go-ahead signal was given to fire. The three systems each fired one missile, their maximum engagement number. Three missiles shot through the sky at Mach 3.5, within six seconds the slow drones were struck by the highly maneuverable missiles. In another five seconds, the kills were confirmed via radar, and the Nevas' second missiles were fired. Three more supersonic missiles, three more confirmed kills. The radar signatures upon destruction were recorded and sent over to soldiers of the army marines, who would move via patrol craft a detachment of 100 marines to the Phou Phanang National Bio-Diversity Conservation Area, where the drones were shot down. navigating the narrow waterways, they would locate four of the wrecks, burning husks of metal in the fragile ecosystem, sorely out of place. Any possible markings would be burned off, but it could be assumed where they came from... The incident would be reported to the central government, the foreign minister of which would put through a call to the Thai foreign minister. They had something to talk about.

---
Other than the drones over Vientiane, all drones would complete their missions but would bring back no important data, their routes not being anywhere near any concentrations of soldiers.

---
The patrol officers would take note of the men inside taking looks around and mark it down in their minds as suspicious. The Captain, as you could now tell from the insignia on his shoulder, was a bit surprised at having the plethora of registration papers and licenses thrust into his hands. He looked over them all, and they seemed legitimate enough.

"30 days is an awfully long time just to walk around town and visit a few landmarks, don't you think, sir? As for our increased security, drug trafficking has spiked in recent weeks, and we've been needing to search cars. Say, what were your names again?" The officer would cross-check the names listed and the passports provided to him.

The Reconnaissance battalions' UAVs have successfully conducted a reconnaissance toward the route of the offensive line with the geography information as the purpose of the mission. The UAVs have all returned with data and images from the expedition into Laos' territory and have given the invading army a decent early attack preparation. The mission also resulted in the casualty of all four UAVs from the 3rd Infantry Division. They will get replaced immediately, but the UAVs have brought back reliable information regarding the air defense system of Laos. The Royal Thai Army analyst suspects that the Lao army possesses the capacity of air defense radar that can reach the acceleration of at least 197 meters per second squared. The missile system hit the UAVs cruising at 130 kilometers per hour and flying at 5,000. The analyst calculated that the system could reach the maximum speed of 3.5 Mach based on their acceleration speed, arrival time, and UAV speed. The UAVs have sent the information while flying over the city of Vientiane, its airport, and before getting hit. The image is blurry but provides the vision that the missile might be the cold war era system based on historical knowledge of Laos army suppliers. The mission also resulted in the suspicion of the Laos administration, and the general has ordered to stop reconnaissance.

The other intelligence agencies in the SUV would notice that the border officer is skeptical of the typical human behavior and would stop to look around after a while and stop looking around since they are feeling bored and go back to their manner. The male driver would tell the name of himself and the others the same as on the passport. "I agree with that, but I hope you don't expect us to walk around for a few days. We will travel around Laos since we have plenty of time. My name is Naruesorn Chuthathep. The guy next to me is. What is your real name again." The other agent would frown funnily. "It is Suphayok-- Chuan. Hey, at least I can remember your name." The driver will continue to tell the officer their name if they don't ask him to stop.

On the other hand, the call would arrive at the Thai foreign minister's office. The NIA officer would connect the line to himself first and ask who is the caller before switching on the High Encrypted Method and handing over the communication to Surakiart Sathirathai's secure telephone. He would see the phone line security and place his fingerprints before answering it.

All the Secret Agents would now successfully enter Laos without any incident to the border guard and themselves. The agent would drive their car into Laos and start travel to each place in Laos to create a network inside the country to support the imminent war effort by Thailand. The Red SUV(Hyundai Tucson) had passed the Uttaradit Boundary Post((Phu Doo International Point of Entry) and would take the route to Luang Phabang. They will arrive at night and find a hotel to stay in the city before wandering around in their car to find a place such as a military base and pro-Thai rebel organization trail. Two White SUVs would drive into Vientiane at noon and gather intelligence of military presence in the city and surrounding area. They will travel to the airport to find if there is any military installation there since the army suspects Lao army military capacity in air defense systems. They will also try to find the military base by asking locals and using a map guide. They will locate the people who support the reunification of Laos, recruit them and try to contact the Thanaleng Border Crossing station staff to befriend them. The black SUV would finally pass the border crossing station after the suspicious made by the agent there. They will travel to Pakse and Salavan and perform as the other intelligence agents. All the secret agents will try to contact the arms dealer that sells the weapon to the Thai in each area. They will use their camera to take a picture around the place they like the tourist. They will keep their profile low and enjoy their holiday with work there.

The Thai agents in Luang Prabang would mostly come out with nothing, the army base could be located but its contents were barred from the public, and so all they gained from it was a blank wall. There could be fifty men stationed there, there could be ten thousand. Pro-Thai revolutionaries were practically non-existent throughout the country, the two nations having had few conflicts of interest in the modern era. They had similar cultures in some parts, and the border was usually open for travel without too much scrutiny. Thus, armed groups that advocated for Laos' absorption into Thailand did not exist in the country, and unarmed groups were theoretical only, living in the centers of Thai populations, and usually not willing to act. Attempts to contact arms dealers would all suggest in-person meetings or would flatly deny selling to non-Laotian natives.

The agents in Vientiane would be unable to see anything from the public portion of the airport, and if they continued onto the field they might be able to catch a glimpse of one missile installation before being forced out by on-site security. The military base would be the same as in Luang Prabang. Once again, Thai rebels were nearly non-existent in this part of Laos, where if they wanted to be in Thailand they need only drive ten minutes West. Attempts to contact arms dealers would all suggest in-person meetings or would flatly deny selling to non-Laotian natives. When they contact the Thanaleng Border Crossing station, a gruff man would answer the phone.

"Hello? Who is this? What is your business?"

After all of their asking around and showing up in front of security at the airbase and the army base, these two vehicles would have been reported to the police. They would take note of the suspicious visitors, and an unmarked police vehicle would tail a distance behind the first White SUV, in order to not appear suspicious themselves.

The final agents, once in Salavan, would be openly laughed away when asking about Thai sympathizers, and would quickly be reported to the police. The population of Salavan, compared to the other two targeted cities, was vastly dominated by the Lower Laos population, and Thai was an oddity there. After also asking about the location of military installations and then contacting arms dealers throughout the city, a pair of police cruisers would pull over the Thai agent's car. The officers would not step out, but over their loudspeaker demand that the Thai step out of their car with their hands above their heads. Within five minutes, three unmarked vans would pull up along the other side of the street, and twenty heavily armed SWAT members would rush out. Reports were deemed to match descriptions of prior attempted terrorist attacks by the "Secret Army", a major rebel group of Lower Laotian communists who had kept the nation at war since the late 50s.

The Army

The entire army personnel had arrived at their new military campsite with all the necessary equipment and supplies. They had adapted to the new place and acknowledged that they would go to war as the frontline infantry soon. The commanding officers of each unit had ordered the regular training exercise to prepare for war. They had ensured the infantry, support personnel, and military vehicle operator. They would know how to perform their duty and use their skill at the utmost. The construction worker had constructed most requisite facilities. The soldiers have been operating it with their specialization role. The Signal Corp personnel have contacted the headquarters to keep in contact with the mission order. The reconnaissance battalion had received the information of 40 kilometers into the offensive line from the UAVs and completed its analysis with the command unit. They have confirmed the bridge to cross the Mekhong river of the Third Army and The First Army and the infrastructure inside the radius. They have proved a military installation in Vientiane in both the international airport and the city. The commanding officer has gathered to plan the detailed rapid assault into Laos's territory from their start point.

The Navy

The Marine Corps had started their preparation at their camping area. They had received the armament and equipment from the logistic personnel and would perform the rehearsal with it. They have been coordinating with the Fourth Army at the Cambodia border to exchange the communication for the joint operation of invading Cambodia. The 1st and 4th Frigate Squadron and the Submarine Squadron have organized their sailor to respond to invasion support. They had installed all the armament like the other holding squadron in the navy. The Naval Air Division has provided its air wings to the amphibious invasion for the Frigate Squadron.

Itelligence Report

The secret agent had finally infiltrated Laos and started gathering the intelligence for the invasion. They have located the military base and installation of the Lao army, both existing in Luang Prabang and Vientiane. The military bases are not available to the public, and impossible to get inside as the Thai visitor and non-native. The agent in Vientiane has established that there is an air defense missile installation per the reconnaissance report. They have continued to search for the Thai supporter in Laos in the north of Laos but have no progress. The espionage toward the politics of Laos has indicated that the Laos population doesn't have an interest in Thailand but is a brother country. The agents have contacted the arms dealer in Laos resulted in the rejection and possible suspicion of the Laos police. The report from Salavan has told that the agents confront the police forces.

The agents that drove around the city would acknowledge that two police cruisers requested them to pull over their car to the roadside. The driver would slow down and turn to the right before parking his car. They would respond to the police demand and leave their SUV before the SWAT came. They walk to the police officers with their hands up and will follow the instruction and ask what they can help.

The agent on the phone call with the Thanaleng Border Crossing station staff would ask. "Hello! I am a Thai visitor. I would like to ask if the crossing station opens 24/7. I am not sure if I can finish my journey after the nighttime."

As the Thai begin to walk towards the police cruiser, every loudspeaker that the officers and SWAT are in possession of ring out simultaneously with orders to stop moving, lay down on their stomachs, and spread their arms out wide like an airplane. Once they would comply, several SWAT members would push forward and roughly tie their hands behind their backs with zip ties. They would drag the Thai men away, still on their stomachs, before a pair of men in full bomb suits would slowly lumber up to the car. After a basic look down of the car, they located a grocery bag and three suitcases in the rear of the car. This seemed to fully confirm to them that the car was a shuttle bus for terrorist activities, whether the suitcases contained guns or bombs they could not take the risk. One would retreat back to behind the SWAT blockade before returning with a large box in hand. Once reaching the car, he would unlatch the box and reveal a number of sticks of dynamite. The Laotian city did not have the proper equipment or training for safe bomb diffusal and disposal, but due to the prevalance of terrorism and armed fighting in the region methods had to be devised. Namely, controlled detonation. The people in sorrounding buildings were evacuated, and many gathered to watch from behind barriers as the suited up men gave a thumbs up before retreating to cover, laying a firing line behind them. With one final check for safety, the dynamite was detonated.

A plume of dust would rise over the city as the explosion shook years of dirt and debris into the air. The explosion would be a relatively small one: there was no bomb in the car. The policy of better safe than sorry still applied though. As the bomb squad walked out and picked through the debris of the totally hollowed out car, and the crowds dispersed, the Thai men were all piled into a van sorrounded by arned SWAT members and were shipped over to the local police station. In a small interrogation room, two swat team members and a single plain clothes police officer stood across a table from one of the restrained Thai agents. The officer seemed almost giddy, and the agent could make out some words he whispered into the ear of one of the SWAT officers.

"I cannot believe we finally caught some alive, maybe we can get retribution for the recent attacks..." He would trail off before facing his prisoner. "Sir, you are under arrest for suspicion to commit a terrorist attack. We have also arrest your 'compatriots'. We recognize that you have a Thai ID card. Can you explain what you were doing here in this country?"

---
The border guard, boredom in his voice, would respond slowly and monotonously, "Yes, the station is open and staffed at all hours of the day, every day."

The Thai agent would follow the instructions from the Lao police until they arrived at the police station. The SWAT team that attempted to search the car did not find anything suspicious but baggage full of personal items. They would request the police forces to refrain from damaging their luggage because there are clothes, underwear, cameras, and stationery equipment. The SWAT that returned to the car with a box full of dynamite would cause the agent to consensus why they had to do it. They would not surprise when the SWAT exploded their vehicle. The SWAT would take them into the van peacefully without any incident even though they destroyed their vehicle. The Thai agent would keep the third-party insurance that they brought at the crossing zone with themselves. They would look around at the van windows if there was any and go into the police station when they arrived. They all sat at the seat in the interrogation room while waiting for the officer to talk with them. One of the agents would answer. "What exactly do you mean by "compatriot"? Is there a Thai who got arrested more than we have? What about my car? I have third-party insurance. Can you guarantee that the company will cover the cost?" He would sigh before continuing. "We are visitors from Thailand. We've come to tour Laos because we've recently been free from public service. We intended to travel for 30 days, but our car got destroyed on the 7th. What makes the terrorist attack so suspicious? There is a lot more to consider, such as the citizen of this country. What is it that makes us so dangerous?" He keeps complaining.

Each of the Thai agents were separated and this one was interviewed alone, as stated in post #13. The officers would give the Thai man a funny look as he spoke, and would quickly jot down notes that could be summed up as "Suspect will not acknowledge the four others in car with him, possible mental illness? Connected to brainwashing?". The plainclothes officer would start asking questions.

"Your car has been towed to a scrapyard for sale. It is beyond repair. As for insurance, you will have to bring that up with your provider to see if it applies across national borders, but most insurance policies don't cover damage from the government and law enforcement. We know your car was destroyed, we were there and were the ones who detonated it just an hour ago." He would listen to the next words out of the man's mouth before his jaw dropped. "Are you saying we should be concerned with our own people as terrorists instead of you? Do you want to know what makes you so suspicious? You were reported by many people as asking for the locations of military installations, attempting to contact people who supposedly supported the absorption of Laos into Thailand, and contacting several arms dealers within the city to purchase weaponry. An arsenal of textbook terroristic red flags. Why were you seeking out our military bases? Why were you looking for anti-Laotian extremists? Why were you, a foreigner, approaching local Laotian weapons dealers? Our questions for you are many, sir." After listening to the man's continued ramblings, the officer would get fed up. Taking out an expandable baton, the officer would whip it out before walking around to behind the Thai man and beyond his range of vision and motion due to the restraints. He would whip the metal table, the collision ringing out, getting closer and closer to the Thai man. This was the way that things were done here. Whatever got information could be swept under the rug later.

The military installation of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th armies had finished the construction in each location mentioned in File 001. The commander of each division encamp at the Laos border province has confirmed that the preparation is complete and can assault into the offensive line at any time after the declaration of war. The generals have organized the troop for the war when they advance into Laos. The ordnance battalions had provided the soldiers of their duty with all necessary equipment for the upcoming struggle and conquest. They will have to work with the logistic corp during wartime to supply the soldiers. The Infantry and Cavalry Regiment will push into the border crossing zone with the full-speed diesel engine of their vehicle to shock and disrupt the enemy. They will break the opponent's line of defense with all of their resource. The commander has assigned the Artillery Regiment to be alert for any fire support request from the frontline soldiers and will bombard the military target. The Air Force will coordinate with the land forces to deliver the air superiority and attack the enemy from the sky by providing close air support.

"Yes, you should mind your business with the group so-call Secret Army that still messes around since the 80s. You can't let only a few thousand men destabilize this country, although the foreign power has already dumped them. "He argues calmly and avoids contradicting the police officer. "I looked for the military installation because it's a formidable place to visit. You're paranoid because I requested a location of military installation? I questioned Thai supporters because it is my right, and I have never asked anyone if they want their homeland absorbed into a neighboring country. You can't listen to every report without thinking about what's true and not. I admit that I want to buy the weapon from the gun dealer because TT-33 here is cheaper than in Thailand. Can that clear your mind up?" The agent would see that the police officer take out the baton and start to roam around after he had finished the answer. He can still look back even though the SWAT has locked his hands. He raises his neck to look at the ceiling and says to the officer before making a self-laughter. "I feel sad for your parents who have to raise an aggressive child that likes to make noise." He pauses to laugh. "I don't want to see you misuse your authority to divulge information from innocent human beings that don't know anything." He will keep looking at the ceiling until there is further action.

The laugh was the last straw. The disrespect was palpable. So was the metal baton that came crashing into the man's thigh. The tip of the all-metal baton whirred as it smacked down, the impact causing an immediate and uncontainable shout to escape the agent's mouth. Blood began to soil the man's pants. The officer would lash out at the metal table, leaving a few specks of blood behind on the surface. The officer would once again begin pacing behind the man.

"Your attitude makes me think you are a little more than a tourist. All of the tourists I have spoken to break down immediately, blah blah this, blah blah that, please don't hurt me boo hoo baby shit. You? Resistance. You know that our military bases are not 'formidable' to the point of being tourist attractions, they're a series of barracks in a dirt field that's off-limits to the public. And do note, in this country, your rights do not apply. You are not Laotian. You're a foreigner. You are out of your element in this town. And also, if you only came here to get a cheaper price for your weapon, why would you bring five other men with you? And why not buy it in Pakse, which is far closer to the border? By coming this far you added another four hours to the two-way trip unnecessarily. So which is it, did you come here to see the military base, buy guns illegally, or try and brainwash our people?" He smacked the baton down on the table again.

The police officer would not be able to hit the Thai agent's thigh because the man only got his hands tied up behind his back and had experienced the situation during the training. He also has a specialist in martial art in both self-defense and unarmed fighting. He would be able to sense the incoming attack since the aggression when the officer hit the table. He would manage to avert his leg from getting smashed by the metal baton that would surely harm his muscle. He could immediately jump out of the chair and efficiently kick the officer's lower leg tibia before delivering another blow into the side of the same spot, which would cause the officer to fall and get his bones to break instantly. The officer won't be able to stand up because one of his legs is now unfunctional. The action would happen in under 5 seconds, and two SWAT wouldn't have enough time to react but can still respond after the officer got taken down. The other agent in Laos and the NIA operational reporter would notice the absence report from the Southern intelligence team. They would assume that they got arrested.

As the plainclothes officer collapsed to the floor in pain, the SWAT officers took action. Raising their weapons, the left officer would unload twenty rubber bullets center-mass into the Thai agent. The right officer had a rifle fully loaded with live rounds and was ready to end the man's life if he tried to come at them. In order to reach the SWAT officers the man would have to either jump over the table or run all the way around it, both difficult tasks when you are being pelted by high velocity projectiles. The SWAT officer with less-than lethal would drag the plainclothes officer over to the other side of the table while the lethal officer would provide cover. The now severely injured agent, likely with at least one bone fracture from the rubber bullets, would be pinned to the ground by the officers boot as he hogtied the man, fully preventing all ranges of motion. Now that he was restrained, the second officer would be free from providing cover and would help the plainclothes officer to his feet. After getting him out of the room, the whole SWAT team was called to action, and a number of senior military officers would also be called up. Without any warning, the SWAT team would tear gas the remaining agents who were being held each in seperate cells out of range of communication of each other, before rushing in with cattle prods and batons to force the men down to the ground and fully restrain them in hogties before dragging them by their collars across the ground and into armored cars awaiting outside. After an hour of driving in darkness, in which the prisoners were blindfolded, gagged, and their ears plugged, they would arrive at a small satellite towns police station, well away from prying eyes and ears. A large holding cell would be converted for their use. The SWAT team would depart, and military police would take their place. The first event to take place, after all earplugs had been removed, would be the waterboarding of the first man who had broken the officers leg. For an hour the man would be waterboarded on and off, several questions shouted and repeated in conjunction with light beatings.

"Why are you here?" "Who are you?" "Do you work for the Thai?" "Do you want to die?"

The Thai agent would be aware of the Worse consequences of his action to himself, but his decision training during his training has brought him a stretch to his lifespan. He would be appalled for a bit when the SWAT team fired 20 rubber bullets at him at this close distance. He would not be able to hold much of his senses after getting rapid shots at his body, will gradually regain consciousness, but it was too late. He would mumble in his mind while the SWAT team captured him. "If only my handgun is here." He would get sent to the new large holding cell in another police station. He would answer the question a few times before getting bored. "I am here for travel. I am Naruesorn Chuthathep. I am a public servant, so I work for Thai. I will only die if there is more beneficial to people than detriment." He will get annoyed but will hold on to the attitude.
