Hello, I'm Singtong Lapisatepun, Thailand's ambassador to Japan. I recently relocated here to begin a five-year assignment in Japan, and I hope that we can collaborate. According to what I gather, the Thai Foreign Ministry attempted to contact you but received no response. I am concerned that I must look after and strengthen our bilateral relationship. I am aware that the Japanese government opposes the current War in Laos that our government has launched, even though we have a reasonable justification to do so in to protect our population. I adore Japan, as do the majority of Thai visitors who come to see its fascinating culture. I hope we can agree on mutual respect and Thailand's desire for economic cooperation. We can work together to build infrastructure and establish a free trade agreement. I'd like to know if a meeting with a government official or the Foreign Minister is possible. I want to convey our government's desire to strengthen our partnership.
