Ambassador Yıldız,

I hope your stay in Bangkok has been purposeful and filled with joy. My Ministry has been working painstakingly to ensure that the public transport is available to everyone including the Turkish people in Thailand.

The recent completion of the Bangkok BTS Master Plan in early January, in which we had invested over $20 billion in December 1999, has yielded immediate additional $15 billion into our national economy. The project is still the largest mega infrastructure project in Asia since 1995. The Bangkok Mass Rapid System is currently serving 11.2 million daily raider and 4.088 billion annual passengers.

I would like to invite you and other Turkish officials who wish to learn to engineering breakthrough feat. We are seeking to transfer and exchange the knowledge between our two nations as a part of the recent treaty signed in Ankara.

If the Turkish Government is interested, please inform me of the detail.

Sincerely,

Chadchart Sittipunt
Minister of Transport
Prime Minister

Greetings Minister Sittipunt,

I trust this email finds you well. I am Eren Yildiz, the Ottoman Ambassador to Thailand. I am writing to express my appreciation for the diligent efforts of your Ministry in ensuring accessible public transport for all, including the Ottoman community in Thailand.

I was delighted to learn from you about the recent accomplishment, the completion of the Bangkok BTS Master Plan in early January. The substantial investment of over $20 billion in December 1999 and the subsequent injection of an additional $15 billion into your national economy is truly commendable. This project, which stands as the largest mega infrastructure undertaking in Asia since 1995, is a testament to the remarkable engineering feats achieved by your country. The Bangkok Mass Rapid System, currently serving an impressive 11.2 million daily riders and 4.088 billion annual passengers, demonstrates the monumental impact of your efforts.

I am particularly interested in this project, given my background in engineering. I believe that the exchange of knowledge and expertise between our two nations can significantly contribute to the future of the Ottoman Empire's infrastructure development. It aligns perfectly with the goals set forth in the recent treaty signed in Ankara.

With that in mind, I would like to extend an invitation to myself and other Ottoman Viziers and Kethüda-i viziers who are eager to learn from your engineering breakthrough. We are keen to explore the details of this exchange and tour. It would be an invaluable opportunity to strengthen the bonds between our countries and enhance our collective understanding of infrastructure development.

I kindly request your guidance on the necessary steps to initiate this knowledge exchange. Your expertise and insights would be of great value as we work together to shape the future of the Ottoman Empire's infrastructure.

I look forward to your response and the opportunity to discuss this matter further. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours sincerely,

Eren Yıldız
Ambassador to Thailand
Ottoman Empire

Given the compliance from the Turkish ambassador and his armed convoy, each Thai unit would lower their arms as many police walked into the perimeter. An officer would have a document in his hand with a pen. "Alright, Mister Ambassador, here is your ticket. Violation of this criminal law could get you 10 years in jail, but we are fining you for $50,000. You will be the covering all crimes of these Turkish men. Don't forget to pay it after the visit ends, or you will be jailed. And all the convoy, illegal arms, and everyone else will be detained at the local police station for the time of your visit. They will be sent back to Turkey and can not come back to Thailand as they are now criminals."

Giving the document to the Turkish ambassador, he continued. "Is this something you can agree or do you want to stay behind bars? You will be escorted by us from now on

I accept the fine on behalf of my team and myself, and we will ensure that all necessary payments are made promptly. We also acknowledge the violation and regret any inconvenience caused."

The Ambassador, maintaining his diplomatic decorum, continued, "We request the opportunity to cooperate with the local authorities during our visit to ensure full compliance with Thai laws. Please proceed with the necessary arrangements, and we will adhere to your instructions during our stay in Thailand. Our goal is to strengthen the ties between our nations and ensure a productive and peaceful visit."

With the situation deescalated, the Turkish armed convoy would be frozen and other personnel would be detained at the local police station. The road would be open back to the traffic and the Thai authority departed. A convoy of the Turkish Ambassador would be established by the Thai Police, in coordination with the traffic authority to ensure minimal impact on the daily life of the citizens.

Upon their arrival at Thailand's Ministry of Transport, the majestic edifice unfurled before them, a harmonious fusion of traditional and contemporary architectural wonders. Thai and Turkish flags billowed in unison along the perimeter, while a cadre of Thai dignitaries populated the expansive grounds.

As they crossed the threshold into the Ministry, they were enveloped by a lush, resplendent garden that seemed to offer a maternal embrace. This oasis of serenity not only epitomized the eco-conscious ethos of Thailand's ruling party but also mirrored the daily tableau of this environmentally harmonious city. Though Thailand is often associated with sweltering heat, such perceptions have been supplanted by the soothing ambiance of verdant landscapes.

Upon parking their vehicle before the grandiose entrance, a delegation of esteemed Thai officials awaited their arrival. As Ambassador Yıldız of Turkey alighted from the car, Thailand's Minister of Transport, ChadChart, welcomed him with a traditional Wai gesture.

"Welcome to the Ministry of Transport, Ambassador Yıldız." With these words, ChadChart ushered the ambassador into an interior resplendent with traditional Thai embellishments, accompanied by a retinue of officials.

The room was awash in the warm glow of an opulent chandelier, its light imbuing the space with an air of inviting hospitality. Each corner of the room was a visual feast, adorned with intricately designed murals, mosaics, antiques, and earthenware. Every relic and artifact told an individual story, each a chapter in the rich tapestry of Thailand's transportation history.

As the Thai dignitaries led the Turkish ambassador through a journey into history, their path culminated in the grand ballroom. The space was a symphony of grandeur and opulence, a testament to the Ministry's abundant resources.

Upon stepping into the room, key figures behind Bangkok's MRT projects extended their greetings. Each stood as a pillar of Thailand's corporate landscape. As they took their seats around the circular table, the expansive stage before them unfurled a narrative tapestry of bygone eras. Soon after, the room would come alive with the fluid grace of traditional Thai dance.

ChadChart, who was sitting next to the Turkish ambassador, would ask him. "How has your impression been so far? It's a full-day event, so relaxed." As he concluded, he indulged himself in the joy of the show.

Upon the end of the spectacle, a man appeared on the stage. He raised his microphone near to him.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Let's begin the introduction for today's Engineering Tour from the Turkish embassy. Can I have applause for his excellency Eren Yıldız please?" The spotlight aimed at the Turkish ambassador and the whole room clapped for him.

"Please let me introduce our esteemed guest to the MRT Master Plan that revolutionizes the world of public transport." As he concluded the screen behind him and around the room revealed the initial planning stage of the mega project.

"The project was first introduced by our ministry to the cabinet in February 1999, which is after the completion of the original BTS system." As he continued, a map of the current MRT system was shown.

"After years of planning and construction, in January of 2003, the project came to its conclusion." A statistic slide was then shown.

"Today, the Bangkok Metropolitan Area Mass Rapid Transit system serves over 11.2 million daily passengers each day. With this steady trend, the annual raider of Bangkok MRT will be 4.088 billion annually. It will be the most busiest system in the world.

Ambassador Yıldız, captivated by the grandeur and the rich cultural heritage of the Thai Ministry of Transport, responded to Minister ChadChart's question with an appreciative smile, "I'm truly impressed by what I've seen so far, Minister ChadChart. Thailand's Ministry of Transport and its commitment to eco-consciousness are commendable. The warm welcome and the cultural displays have made our visit here all the more enjoyable. I'm eager to learn more about the MRT Master Plan and explore opportunities for collaboration."

As the presentation continued, Ambassador Yıldız and the Turkish delegation were fully engaged. The scope and impact of the MRT system, as well as its place as the busiest system in the world, left a profound impression.

Ambassador Yıldız, recognizing the significance of this achievement, remarked, "The growth and success of the Bangkok MRT are truly remarkable. It's a testament to the vision and hard work of your government and the people of Thailand. I believe our discussions today can serve as a foundation for future cooperation and knowledge sharing. Turkey has also been investing in its transportation infrastructure, and there's much we can learn from your experiences."

He was eager to explore the details of the MRT Master Plan, understanding that it held valuable insights that could benefit his own nation and further strengthen the diplomatic ties between Turkey and Thailand.

As the introduction ended, Transport Minister Chadchart said to the Turkish ambassador Yıldız. "I thank you for your kind word of recognition." He paused and deliberately glanced around the room imbued with Thai historic achievements in public transport. "Thailand has been at the forefront of global leadership in forward and progressive thinking for a while now, yet not many acknowledge it." He paused standing up and invited the ambassador.

"Many achievements or successes that my Ministry introduced to you are just the beginning, and it is just a few examples of our nation's collective effort." As he talked, the group formed, and Thai officials walked around them.

"By 2005, our nation had set a goal back in 1998 to be completely sustainably self-reliant. This status means our entire demand and supply will be running in a circle. We will not need imports and we will be minimally affected by the globalization economy." He paused again as he exited the ballroom. "Our nation has invested over $44 billion into infrastructure over the past 5 years. We plan to sum it up to $64 billion within this year."

As they reached the entrance of the Ministry, a convoy was waiting for them. "Let's start the comprehensive tour of the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit System.

...

The car convoy would arrive at the headquarters of the State of Railways (SRT) of the Republic of Thailand. As they exited the car, many officials would be waiting for them. Although the edifice was not as adorned as the Ministry, the hospitality was palpable.

They would be led to the nerve root of the Bangkok MRT system where the SRT could directly and centrally monitor and control it. Upon arriving at the MRT Control Center, the ambassador would witness the control room appear in NASA. Many employees sat behind each screen, each of them showing vastly different statuses. Many screens hung around the room, and the large one showed the map of the current MRT system.

Chadchart would remark to the ambassador. "What you are seeing there is real-time monitoring of the Bangkok MRT system with 480 stations and 780 kilometers." As they looked, the displayed screen showed the train movements, passenger flows, and even possible disruptions.

"Our train schedule is also adjusting in real-time with our advanced algorithm. What do you think or want to ask?" He smiled. "This is the nerve center of our MRT system, so you have many experts here before we go study rngineering on the field.

Ambassador Yıldız, deeply impressed by Thailand's forward-thinking initiatives, nodded in agreement with Minister ChadChart's sentiments. "You are absolutely correct, Minister ChadChart. Thailand's achievements and vision for a sustainable, self-reliant future are indeed admirable. Your investment in infrastructure and your commitment to self-sufficiency are inspirational. The examples you've shared today are not just achievements; they are a testament to the dedication and foresight of your government and people."

As the comprehensive tour of the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit System began, Ambassador Yıldız absorbed the magnitude of the project and the dedication of the Thai authorities to its success.

Upon arriving at the MRT Control Center, the Ambassador was in awe of the state-of-the-art technology and the sheer scale of the operation. He marveled at the real-time monitoring of the extensive MRT system, which spanned 480 stations and 780 kilometers. The efficiency, advanced algorithms, and the comprehensive management of passenger flows and train schedules were truly remarkable.

Ambassador Yıldız turned to Minister ChadChart with a sense of curiosity and admiration. "This is a remarkable achievement. The level of control and precision in managing such a vast transportation network is truly impressive. I would like to express my appreciation for your openness in sharing this with us. I'm eager to learn more about the engineering aspects of this system during our field visit and perhaps discuss potential areas of collaboration that could benefit both our nations. Thailand's expertise in this field is undoubtedly a valuable resource."

The Ambassador was ready to explore the engineering aspects of the MRT system and engage with the experts to gain a deeper understanding of this remarkable transportation achievement.

Chadchart, Thailand's Transport Minister, was prepared for a candid discussion with Ottoman Ambassador Yıldız following their tour of the Bangkok MRT system. Back in his office, he initiated the conversation with a welcoming gesture. "Alright, Ambassador, let's have a talk, shall we?" he said, settling into his chair with an air of casual professionalism. "Despite recent events, I'm confident that our countries still make excellent partners for joint ventures," he said with a laugh, his tone reflecting a positive outlook. "I've been informed that we currently have over 26,000 personnel deployed in Turkey, and we're planning a significant community engagement event nationwide. That’s quite impressive," he noted, pausing to let the significance of this cooperation sink in. "While I'm not the Foreign Minister, I want to assure you that Thailand views the Ottoman nation as a valued and equal partner in all our endeavors." His approach was friendly yet forthright, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and collaboration between their countries.
