The Government of The Republic of Ireland acting under the institutional auspices of The Office of Foreign Affairs and Trade after careful consideration has authorized with approval of Parliament the implementation of a protectionist oriented system of tariffs designed to defend the home industries and jobs upon which the economy of Ireland is dependent upon with the intention of obtaining economic self sufficiency and a decrease in our nation's dependency upon foreign commodities exported to Irish ports via The United Kingdom. Tariffs shall come into effect on January 1st, 2014 at midnight and shall at no point in time exceeed 25% revenue generated through the tariffs shall be placed into the hands of entities whose purposes are the production of commodities in Ireland for sale in Ireland. Tariffs shall remain in place until further notice and shall be directed primarily at Northern Ireland.
