Your Imperial Majesty,

On behalf of the United States government, the First Family, and the American People, I offer my sincere condolences for the recent attack on France. Acts of barbarism and murder like this are a tragedy and breathtaking, even more so in a country as storied, stable, and developed as France. In the United States we also faced cowardly attacks only a handful of years ago that crippled our government and also nearly took my own life. I had close friends and mentors who were murdered, along with countless other innocent people. While "legitimate" and formal wars are themselves ruthless and painful, there is something especially evil about the attack that happened in Paris. I am surrounded by advisors, leaders, diplomats, and representatives who are some of the smartest people in my country, if not the world, but none of them can help me fully understand what brings people to this level of radicalism. I have, at some times, felt the pangs of hatred in my heart - even if they were fleeting or momentary moments of rage - but I have never contemplated murdering the innocent. Events like this are obvious evidence to that evil does exist in this world, which makes me all the more confident that the opposite of evil exists as well.

I offer the support of the United States government to France. I hope that all of the individuals involved this attack - those that are still alive - are brought to justice. I am praying for you, your family, the French government, and the French people. Stay strong in the face of evil, because evil is inherently cowardly and will cower in fear to your fortitude.​
