[VT]: Arrival of the Australian Project Team and Manager

At Noi Bai International Airport an airport that had been very much unchanged since 1978 when it was originally built Minister Hồ Nghĩa Dũng was waiting for the arrival of the Australian Project Team and Project Manager. A news crew from the state owned media was on standby, and there were some police on watch to keep the Minister Safe. They had arrived in some UAZ-452 vans so that they could easily transport the Austrailian team when they arrived. The minister sat waiting and listening to the radio rather patiently. They had arrived early so that the news crew could record the touch down of the Australians.

With the Project Team and Team Manager boarding a chartered flight to Noi Bai International Airport, the Vietnamese were notified of the imminent arrival of the Australian Team. Once the plane arrives, the crew would step out of the aircraft waving for the news crews and begin shaking the Vietnamese Ministers hand for the Vietnamese news crews. Once ready, the Australians would board the vehicles to head to the hotel to get ready before surveying the airports in the contract

The Camera crews would capture the moment of arrival for broadcast. Capturing also their departure from the plane and then when Minister Hồ Nghĩa Dũng would approach them, give a small bow and shake hands with each and every one of them as they left for the vans. He would ask that they pose for a photo with him and the Project lead shaking hands, and once that was done it was off to the Hotel. All expenses paid well in advance of course. They would be brought to a special hotel, the State Guest House in Hanoi. It also went by the name Tonkin Palace. There each member of the team would be given a room and were free to travel freely in the city. They would be loaned the vans for transport so they can do their work. In the project lead room would be the requested documents, as well as a map of Hanoi. Eac room would have papers with the proper clearance to do surveying work.

With the Project Team and the Project Manager now settled in, the Project Team would board the vehicles that were given to them and head over to the first airport to survey it. As and when needed the Project Team would show the passes and any letters given to them by the Vietnamese Government to allow them entry to the areas they required. After spending the day at the first airport, they would do this repeatedly until the first 5 airports were surveyed. Once the surverys were complete and all reports were finished then the project would begin, if needed the Project Manager was ready to meet with the Vietnamese Government as and when needed. The Vietnamese Government was notified that the project would begin on the 15th (OOC Month: May) July. They were also notified of all the materials that would need, including manpower numbers and equipment numbers.

The project team wouldn't be hassled too badly by airport security each time as the airports were told ahead of time to be on the lookout for the Australians. Upon being told of the materials, manpower, and equipment needed the Vietnamese government would grant all three. Everything they needed being gathered and put on site by the Ministry of Construction who would have officials come to see the Project team to have papers signed off on confirming that they had been there and that the materials were being delivered. The Vietnamese government would request that a progress report be given monthly. The first being on the first of next month. The report was to be given in person and cancelations having 24 hours notice.
