Greetings,

After months or rebuilding the government to its former and respectable self I would like to restart relations with Britain. We have put a rather questionable period of history behind us, and symbolically have started the repair of the Presidential Palace. I would firstly like to invite a British delegation to visit it once the repairs have completed and the President resumes his position there. Secondly I would like to offer the establishment of a trade route between our two countries. At this time our major exports are Electrical machinery, Footwear, Computers, Textiles, and Furniture. We would be able to make deliveries on a monthly basis to a port of your choosing.

Best wishes

Dear Phạm Bình Minh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Socialist Republic of Vietnam,

Thank you for your email, I am relieved to hear of your commitment to restarting relations; whilst I acknowledge the rocky road of disagreements between the United Kingdom and Vietnam, I would very much like to see a clear road ahead and look to repairing relations and working on new methods of cooperation, therefore, when you're ready, I accept your invitation to visit. If you could please confirm the best times for me to visit, I will arrange it from my side. I do believe we could use that meeting as an opportunity to discuss trading agreements too.

Kind Regards,
CNorris

Greetings,

At this time the Presidential Palace has not finished repairs, but once it is fully repaired we will inform you. However, in the meantime we would like to have a meeting in Britain if possible. As Britain is a world power no doubt you already have your books filled with meetings with foreign diplomats. But we are willing to wait for a time slot to open up, so when ever you are able to host this meeting please let us know. We will be able to prepare for the transpiration in advance with the correct amount of time. Also, if you feel the current winter situation in Europe is too dangerous to hold a meeting in Britain, we can still hold one in Hanoi, just not at the Presidential palace.

Best wishes

Dear Phạm Bình Minh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Socialist Republic of Vietnam,

The Secretary of State for the Home Department, Elise Leach, has confirmed her vacancy for such a meeting given I have a meeting scheduled in. She will be able to accomodate for your arrival to discuss further, with that in mind, if you'd like to set off at your earliest convenience and the meeting will be able to take place as of then.

Kind Regards,
CNorris

Greetings,

My apologies for the lateness in my reply, with the situation at the border we have had to delay any departures. However I believe now to be the best time for us to have this meeting all considering. Does Friday tomorrow work? There is a great deal more that must be discussed I believe.

Best wishes

Dear Phạm Bình Minh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Socialist Republic of Vietnam,

We are ready to welcome you to the UK where the Secretary of State for the Home Department will be happy to receive you to begin a mode of communication between the UK and Vietnam.
I have arranged for the relevant access to be granted for your entry to the UK, but as usual, all security will be provided, your own cannot be armed.

Kind Regards,
